ok i got one, not from me, but happened to my best friend.
so my friend (ryan) finally got a date with a girl he'd been asking out for like a year (god it was a sickening year) and they went out with her sis and ryan's best friend, zach 2 the movies. when he went out to get more popcorn, she txted him saying "i'm so sorry, but i kinda like zach and he likes me, do you mind if we leave together?". poor dude was so crushed he told me it was the worst thing since his dad died (9/11). oof it was rough on him

@Ricador, I feel dates are pointless until at least high school. I am a senior this year and I can account for the fact that not all dates tend to be one month of awkward hellos. And @ firetail, I would not trust it, if you feel as though you are "falling in love" with someone before you even get out of high school.

Weird, I met my girlfriend in high school, and we've been dating for almost two years now. Several of my friends are in the same situation as I am. It's all about finding someone you can really commit too, and who is willing to do the same for you.
As far as the embarrassing date goes, it wasn't really a date...A good friend of mine (let's call her Jenny) had a thing for me, and still does I believe. She even broke up with her boyfriend because she felt guilty about liking someone else for so long. (She told me about all this under the assumption that I didn't know it was me) So, one day we decide to go to the movies with a few other friends.
First off, I'll also need to include the fact that a lot of people think Jenny and I are dating, based off of our body language around each other, and just how relaxed we are talking to one another.
So, we arrive to the movies, and the friends that we went with had already bought their tickets and went inside. Jenny and I are in line together, and I buy my ticket and go inside. This gets me the dirtiest look from the girl selling tickets, and a couple awkward looks from random people who are also at the theater.
But, the plot thickens. We spot her ex inside the theater, and from the look he gave me, (as well as the knuckle cracking) he must have assumed that I was dating Jenny as well. It was awful, and probably the most awkward night of my life. And did I forget to mention that our friends who went with us were a couple? Yeah. Horrible.
Well, it wasn't really a date, but after a soccer match, my brother was late at picking me up, and this other girl that's from my class had finished her match too. So we both went a bit far looking for our cars and then we both got lost in some neighborhood. So I ended up spending 4 hours with her walking around our town. Then, I was getting really hungry and she had had like 10 bucks so we went to McDonalds and got two McFlurries and we sat down to eat them. And then she started to cry because she was lost. And then it was a bit awkward because I didn't know what to do until she said,"You're supposed to hug me, idiot" and so I gave her the quickest hug ever and then we went outside again and ended up at the soccer field, where our parents were standing. So, it was weird.
Mmhm. XD She threw one of her cleats at me at some time however...I think it was because we were disagreeing on something so she took of her cleat and nailed me on my arm. Hard. VERY hard. It hurt for the next two days.
