Oh man! This thread seems inactive atm. I forgot to mention that I want the first picture that I posted to be judged. I drew two more pictures in my spare time

I just thought that the song can be interpreted in such a way that the mother is protecting the child's innocence and the wolf being a metaphor for bad influences which cause cynicalism, addiction and pervertion.

I wonder why that second image reminds me of the armatar I made....oh well both are nice anyways. I think its pretty obvious though that this thread is fairly inactive lately.

Z: So, judging is in general screwed from now on, as I'm extremely good at procrastinating - which isn't a good thing. We'll see how it goes...

This has a nice feel to it, good atmosphere, creative.
Z: Exactly. Also does look like something inspired from that music.
C: Fascinating how hard it seemed to be, at least when you look at some of the comments and the number of entries.
But quite well done, though the colours.. Well, I am not sure of they would have been better if a bit more solid or not (around the tree trunk, for example), but that doesn't matter.
Z: I think the faded colours work well for the picture, actually~
C: Yes, it does.

Another good capture of the atmosphere (however subjective that word is), and the simplicity convey the feeling quite well.
Z: Good composition, though the glow going through the edge like that could have been - nicer looking if they were placed a little higher in the darkness.
C: But as it is it looks like they are hiding away?
Z: A little?
C: Well, just my opinion.

Z: Yes, nice filter or brush or texture used for the moon surface~ It's a nice and calm image.
C: Very. And I think it actually does fit the tune of the song quite well (like the first two), as it was a lullaby.

C: It still reminds me of something. Aside from a t-shirt design I saw once.

C: Might just be the nuance. And Nilo, I know you found the theme hard to understand/draw to, but... War = sad/calm/slow song?
Z: War = sad = that song, I think it was...
Btw, filters are not always a good thing. Remember it. Don't put filters where they won't look good.
C: Yeah, but then.... Nevermind, I would have done it differently to get that feeling out of it.

C: And that was it. Five entries due to the theme (I actually thought many more would have entered, since many do use music as a source of inspiration, and the theme was rather loose too), one more if Bronze had managed to get done, but we will see later when he does.

C: Not repost here, no, as you know, I avoid that. Besides it is ugly... And reminds me of Sai....

Well I'm depressed.

Not because I missed the deadline by about 15 minutes because my PC wouldn't start and I couldn't scan it, not because I couldn't find my camera and when I did I couldn't find a pair of batteries for it, not because my laptop was going through a non responsive spell, and not because photobucket spammed me with ads...wait, that stuff IS the reason I'm depressed.

Actually, I'm not depressed, just really pissed at myself.

Sorry for the crappy pic, I couldn't scan as I mentioned before...I didn't even bother trying to edit it.

Noooooooo.....no more judges.
