Hello and welcome!

This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!

Competition Rules
1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified.
2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged.
3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off.
4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week.
5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.

yes well I have never been good at shading things, and had enough issues with the blur effects on it.Anyways I like yours, but you do realize that LonLonRanch was most likely making a joke when he said he thought he had forgotten something in his drawing.....right?
Yeah, my exaggerated no was to indicate I tried to continue his joke - he "forgot" to write his name where it says to write 'your' name, I see the joke.
Lol I didn't know Zoph merged two styles until now!
Actually it's several styles, all the different ways of drawing that I usually do is briefly represented in that image.

@Apocalypse:
Somehow that looks like something taken out of a horror movie. I like it, it's cool.

Wow, I really do see some rather impressive stuff here!

As I said earlier, I was actually envisaging something more abstract but nevermind that, this is good fun :P

Yay! Finally some more vector art! Sweetness Dank, did you make all that from scratch or do you have other resources?

You know how when you zoom in really close to a picture, you can see the pixels? This is a drawback of certain bitmap type images. What vector art does, instead of making an image out of tiny squares, I think it takes a series of geometric sort equations, to make smooth curves out of it. The result is that when you zoom in really close, you get smooth lines, and no distortion of the image. So it is a clean sharp image no matter how much it is magnified. Flash is one of the programs that uses vector graphics.

Here is an example:

I am no expert on the subject, so my complete explanation may not be completely correct. Any artists out there have anything to add?

Vectors are made from a bunch of numbers basically and can be rendered at any size. However, bitmaps are stored pixel by pixel and can not be scaled beyond their original size. Also, I used Illustrator to make that not Flash.

BTW, I used some royalty free resources from http://createsk8.com/ for those impossible-to-make leave things.
