Hello and welcome!

This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!

Competition Rules
1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified.
2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged.
3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off.
4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week.
5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.

I like the story with the second one, btw. Imagewise, the other one is more of an injection, but they are both... Yeah.

I doubt anyone is surprised that he won with this.
It's quite an interesting style for sure, interesting result too. And music can indeed be like an injection, though I'm not quite sure what purple sounds are like~ (And I can't read the nodes because they're a little bit too wavy and probably in the key I can't read anyway.)
But good work, really.

Since you said which one is supposed to be blue and which one is supposed to be purple, well...
The one you meant to be blue has a purplish shade to it, while the one you meant to be purple is dark blue.
The idea still goes through, though, that he picked the wrong colour while he meant to pick eternal life. For the record, I think the residue in the syringe looks like a mix of blue and purple. I find that interesting... Yes.

o.o I don't think that whale's gonna survive that...
Also, a tip: Try cropping some of all that white out of your pic. It's pretty easy to do in Paint, just drag the corners of the white...

Perfect idea, and thanks for giving the tip on shading, and cholo gave me some advice as far as the fingers... I hope I can get this next one fairly well *is putting a lot of effort into ASC entries nao >:U*

I'm sorry, I just felt like explaining this pun. It's a &quoturple" "injection" but it's also a &quoturple" injection and a purple "injection". It's "functional" and also functional. A one-to-one function is also known as a *drumroll* injection!

Wrong, actually. Most fractal flames aren't infinite- and many artworks made from fractal programs aren't technically fractals because of that.

Might be that fractal programs does not make a true fractal, though, it looks pretty.

lol, no need to apologize. But yes, most fractal program don't make true fractals. And that was NOT an easy fractal to make.
