Hello and welcome!

This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!

Competition Rules
1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified.
2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged.
3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off.
4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week.
5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.

Not for long when I am lurking!

I did a really bad doodle of strop being all pissy not too long ago.

There was a little present from me in his ear that constantly mocked him with everything he said, even if it wasn't clever. Such as "Yeah like your mom" or "That's what she said"

Strop! For his "If Dosoevsky were high..."

C: It is plain cool.

C: And Raskolnikov is rather .. Well, his name does mean something like being split or tormented... Or something.. I just think the story would have ended slightly too fast if that had happen... Without all the fun parts like murder and blood.
Z: o.o; Can't say I've read it, but eh... Yeah. Nice entry, Strop~ Swoop through with another entry when you have time~
C: And excellent expressions as well. Yeah, draw some more art for us to enjoy..

thoadthetoad! I can't remember if there was a title for his.

C: Probably something like "Di.kens is back!" We need to get something done about that censorbar.. Anyway, Dostoevsky does have a similar writing style as Di.kens, as well as Poe. I do believe they bring up a little of the same theme as well, but I cannot say I have read enough Poe to be certain.
Z: ... I feel so lost in literature talk. ._.
But I really like how thoad draws himself.
C: Yeah. Have you not read "The Telltale Heart"? But yes, a good entry, and... Better than the other one, at least.
Z: Muchly~ And no I haven't.
Now, to move away from my lack of reading experiences...

Third place:
crimsonblade55~ The Really Long Theme.

Mock entry, but a good one~
C: I would like a talking book like that... On the other hand, it seems like the best way to portray me, really... *drinks some tea* And there is a fuzzy question mark...
Besides, this theme should be a lesson to impatient people, me thinks.
Z: Mhm~ I like how Sasquatch looks all tiny next to the theme. Lulz.
C: It was a long theme..

He murders a pawnbroker, Alyona Ivanovna, with an axe he stole from a janitor's woodshed, with the intention of using her money for good causes, based on a theory he had developed. Raskolnikov believed that people were divided into the "ordinary" and the "extraordinary": the ordinary are the common rabble, the extraordinary (notably Napoleon) must not follow the moral codes that affect the ordinary since they are meant to be great men. An extraordinary man would not need to think twice about his actions.

I like that quote, even though I still don't understand half of it. The only person who uses poetic imagery and that I can understand would most likely be poe.
