This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!
Competition Rules 1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified. 2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged. 3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off. 4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
Well as far as Gantics image goes I don't even understand the name so I couldn't tell you.I think he made it with the intent of not making any sense what so ever, but also it seems you couldn't figure it out,so I shall explain it to you.
My new Years Resolution is to defeat Photo Shop and Flash or in other words learn how to properly use them by the end of the year. The Ultimate Battle was myself(symbolized by Sasquatch and Yeti)against those programs.Do you get it now?
Ah, Crimsonblade, photoshop is an awesome program. I use it instead of using MSpaint. It has so much more options, easy to render things. As you can tell, it definitely improves entries. I have gotten so much better compared to my original Chuck Norris entry for fashion. However flash is still a mystery to me.
i use ms paint.. im not bad at it, but isnt photoshop expensive? my step mom just got it for christmas, does that mean that you have to buy a disk for it, such as for microsoft office

No idea. Haha, I think you can download a version of it. Look it up on google, that is always helpful.
And gantics entry...its deep. If I'm understanding it correctly anyway. No never mind, I took a second look at it and decided I'm way off. The coding... I don't get it. The cubes show opposites on the other side from them. But what does dinosaur have to do with suntan lotion? Unless sun plus sun block equals night... but how would night minus dinosaurs equal day? and 2 plus one, based off the arrow of the gender sign equals 3, and subtraction going underneath. Whats the odd window thing in the back? Ugh. I'm over thinking this. Gantic, give a clue?
or you could download it off the internet, but yeah it is fairly expensive. That's why I got it for Christmas. Also Cholokid I thought you were using GIMP this whole time.I would have never guessed that you were using photoshop.I don't relly know why though.Anyways do you have the latest version?I have yet to really figure out or mess with renders on there.I never quite understood the purpose of them.Anyways I suppose I still have quite a few things to learn about the program as a whole, including what some of the tools do,and how to properly work with layers(I have yet to use layers in any of my images so far) so who knows I might get even better later on.Also I think I my self have come along way since the Steve the demon dog playing the guitar entry. If you remember that one from the GFX Art Battles.
on gantics entry, every side seems to be opposite of the other. on the front and back of each side, they both have 2 and 4. the left cube is chinese symbol for 2 and 4, and the right one is roman numerals. the thing is, the 4 is not a correct 4 on the right side. top and bottom is boy and girl symbol, and suntan lotion and dinosaur. i dont get the smilarity between the latter 2. then there is a heart and a target or something. i dont get it, and night and day.
hey guys after you told me about the things you noticed in the image I looked at the dino and the "lotion" and it reminded me of an old image he submitted for another theme.Check this one out and compare.
also(sorry for double post or whatever)but I think the one opposite of the heart is a ring like a wedding ring or something.I think these are all either opposites are things that are the same or go with each other or something.I still don't understand the title. It may have something to do with what inspired the drawing. Also I know that we may be looking too much into all of this.
On the left box: Sun - Moon San - Si, Three - Four ("Sang" - "Si" Chinese number symbolism. Dinosaur - Plastic bottle thingy, Someone already dug up the old entry.
On the right cube: Money - Love II - IIII, Two - Four (That's the watchmaker's 4.) Male - Female
Did you know? --If you add up the numbers on opposite sides of a die, you get seven. --If you really think about a puzzle before you go to sleep, the answer might be in your dreams if your brain has already solved it. --I find puns to be the highest form of humor. --There are at least three puns in this post already that hint at the answer to one of the box. (Four, if you count one so horrible people would be wondering if it was or wasn't a pun.)
The answer is there, but what is the question? I'm twisting the theme a little. Why do we make resolutions?
