This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!
Competition Rules 1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified. 2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged. 3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off. 4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
crimson as depicted as sasquatch looks like the gingerbread man, zoph as a mazzelh looks like a furby, and strop as his ninja horseness looks like a skele-horse
Uhm... Deth... I do not really get that drawing? Is it.. Like Judgement day or something? [/being a jerk]
Okay, random question: Cholo and Crims, you are both okay to judge again, right? Crims got auto-first place last week, so you are both free to be in the comeptition again?
well seeing as how I technically won the first competition, and he won the second one.I think I would be the one who could compete this time around, and he would be in the champions exhibit this time around. If you didn't pay attention to how strop explained his decision then I'm not going to explain it to you my self,as I'm too lazy to do so.
Also Cenere the judgment day thing makes sense.I didn't get how it fit the theme before that, but that actually makes sense. Also Deth what program did you use to make that?I can't really tell, but really I didn't really know Sasquatch was even slightly challenging to draw.Anyways its good to see you featured me in your art I suppose.
Hmm, seems like Cholo won the round two weeks ago, you won the newst, Crimson... Because Strop called Cholo "grand winner" and gave him the spot as the exhibition... But I think... New times, new judge, so for now you can both compete and maybe win. No Exhibtion this round...
Is this theme still going around? Because I felt like joining =) And yes Zoph, I made sure I didn't make it before. I stuck a fable render on my background, and I feel it represents "Judgement Day" quite nicely.

Do we have any, more updated rules, than the ones on the first page? I am pretty sure there are some, but I am not sure I I will be able to find them in those 260 pages....
Yeah... Though [whisper]if it was not against the rules, I would have picked it as the winner...[/whisper] Or something. For the random niceness of it.
And found the "additions" from Strop (because it bothered me a little): -There will still be (for now), one grand winner who gets a merit. -However I will nominate several categories, where applicable, and give special recognition to particular entries. Such categories may include: Technique and Quality, Done Entirely in MS Paint, Most Lulz, Epic Win Reference, Just Plain Random or Dishonorable Mention (i.e. what Klaushouse would have gotten for his 'box' entry, haha.) -Also if you would like constructive criticism on your entry you may say so, and I'll do my best to give feedback. It goes without saying that others are free to do the same, as has always been the case.
Guess the new judge will have to update the rules in general, or at least make some more additions.
Nah, but I know the mods have some hard times deciding on renders being original art, as the main image often is a render image... *scratches imaginary beard* Hm, I will have to rule a negative this time. I am a onetime judge for this round, and though I really like the picture, I do not want to make a bad example for the new judge, especially not if people think it will be allowed, when it is not..

I guess I have no reason to argue with you,but still I will leave you with this message from last weeks post from strop concerning the winner...
This is going to be awkward. Because I in fact decided after much thought that the Grand Winner of this week would be Cholokid!
Also as a note, from what I remember that rule was made for the most part or almost specifically for renders, and the rule concerning it was one of the reasons for the GFX Art Battles being changed over to this thread. So people would see that rule on the front page.At least from what I remember that was the case.
