This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!
Competition Rules 1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged. 3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off. 4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
Don't put text in whos? Mine? I posted already haha, I will send you the link to the page if you want.
oh yeah I looked back and saw it.I guess I need to pay more attention in to who is submitting these images I guess.Sorry about that.It actually doesn't have text though.Imagine if you had to submit one with the same dishounarble mention(can't post text)during the one for the "your name" theme. What would you do then?
Somehow I find myself being the center of many a parody and teasing, which is fine by me. But this one is risky and not to mention risque, and yet it is still a direct interpretation of the theme. In this case I would say direct is a perfectly appropriate approach. Furthermore Zophia put an insane amount of effort into this piece right down to the spooky touches, which greatly aided her cause.
But the ultimate clincher for me would have been the fact (Is it wrong of me to say this?) she made Strop look kinda good in a pink negligee, and furthermore nails the "cute Strop" look
*purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs*
*ignores the tons of posts missed out on because of being gone for the weekend*
Did most of this on the long train ride home... Was crying most of the time....
Well instead of just making a comment about your picture Zophia.I thought instead that a reference is worth a thousand comments(that's how the saying goes right?)Anyways since I already get the feeling that it will cut off.I shall just create a link instead.
aww, why waz u cryings zophia? It's very pretty, how did youmake it (photshop, gimp, hand, what?)? P.S. If the topic FRUIT, ever comes up, I can pack 2 references into one.
@thoad Broke up with my girlfriend. And Photoshop Elements 6.0 + tablet, all the way through. Started with the sky and moved forward in the picture. So far there is 18 layers, 16 of which are visible here...
Hmm....so your tablet is portable then right? That would explain why you were able to do it on a train ride.Anyways I might start using Sasquatch in more of my submissions. The references are so simple and yet so fun to create for some reason.Anyways I get the feeling that the wildlife will have alot of fur in Zophia's picture by the time it is done.Even if it isn't a bunch of Mezzalhs.
I think I counted it to 28 critters on the sketch. And yes, my tablet is very portable. Most tablets are. So that and a lightweight laptop, and it is all good.
28 different types of creatures?Anyways I never owned a tablet so I didn't know for sure, but still that's alot of creatures. Will any of them happen to be a Sasquatch?
hmm....I wonder what the next theme will be....Anyways I get the feeling that there will be at least two mazzelhs and maybe one dragon for some reason.Anyways I'm no psychic so I shall wait and see.
What would you do if strop didn't give it to you, just b/c you said that?I would find it quite ironic.
Oh noes, I've been found out!
KINGRYAN HAD TO LEARN THE HARD WAY D:
@Zophia: I'm going to stay on topic in this thread, so...
Holy crap, that nearly blew me away. Your early morning clouds are so...beautiful.
If I may, if it's possible, I would get rid of the saturated yellow highlight streaks on the sun and lengthen the lighter streaks to go for the lens flare effect...that would make it look more realistic. I also assume you're going to put in some highlights on the blades of grass and the trees?
