Strop presumed I probably like reading Di.kens and Poe, since Fyodor Dostoevsky seemed to have caught me. I think they write alike (though I probably need to read the entire story before I can comment fully), and I will try to find some Poe as well, when I have read The Gambler.
I like Edward Allen Poe's writings for the main reason that they're dark, more than half the time, so I can still be entertained even if I don't totally understand it. I don't think that I've heard of Fyodor Dostoevsky until just now, however.
Ah, I need to find my notes on horror and thrillers and... the last was... That is why I need to find my notes... On the other hand, the theories behind why people read it... Not something you want to hear, Thoad.
And I have decided to enter and fail wonderfully because I am a judge. I will do it anyway. Because I can... Now I just need to add shadows, details and... dirt.

Oh but I do, I'm klaus incarnate, remember? I've been to a few ghetto's, and I know my way around a shock site. So please, tell me.
the last horror/thriller I read was War of the Worlds, about a month ago, and before that was "Still life with crows" Which was an absolutely great book, where the killer imitated NURSERY rhymes! Baking people and eating them, salt and butter style. Crows baked into pies and pined down using arrows, it was so graphic I had just the biggest BALL with it!
Horror is just so much bloody fun! *voice turns a little squeaky, like dobby or the thing from "Lord of the rings"* The gore and the flesh spilling off of a body is just so great!
Other than saying that it involves virgins being triumphant for being pure, and for the killer to be primal and....brutus, of words, I really don't see anything to be wrong with it of banworthyness *hsa thumb throbbing and very painful...owwww*

Well, It should not be, either. Freud's theories are used all over that theory. The virgins want violent, masochistic sex with the monsters, but if they do, they will not live/remain pure/all that. The newer horror stories tell about the woman dominating the monster in the end, so that they still can get the violent sex, but also have the control over the monster, those primal urges of food, sleep and sex. It is one grand women's rights propoganda.

Is it bad that I lol'd at the truth? I can see what you mean though, but bestiality is against moral. But yeah, I see what'ya mean here, even though I don't totally agree with it. I think I saw a parody of sorts about this theory on Robot Chicken, where velma gets laid with an old guy dressed up as Jason Horhee's. lol.
I think you just kinda ruined horror for me for a moment, Cen... Though there haven't been many "virgins" in the stories I've read.
I think I'll place that theory next to the one about frightened women being easily aroused...
Admitted, horror can be pulled of in sexy ways, but uh... :/ I can has my creepy here *gestures left* and my porn here *gestures right*, okay? Symbolism, I never catch on to it anyway. And this one makes particularly little sense to me.
It probably started with my terrible entry (I don't even have a wireless mouse, just a nub thing and a touchpad, AND it was my first computer drawing EVER) and just spiraled from there.
