Judging time, once again.
And yes, it is me, yes, I am the only one judging, and yes, my exams went okay, thanks for asking.
Now, straight to the point, since there is no reason for me to be talking to myself.
Champion's exhibition
Gantic.
Well, well, once again a very - interesting piece. I think I had a nightmare about it some days ago, where the wings/eyelashes where the egde of a cliff.. Looking more like eyelashes, but of course, that is your way of making art, which always suprises and confuses. The black and white gives a good contarst, and though it is simple, it is also effective.
As for the first place, I have had one in mind for a while. The only problem is, I have no idea how to justify it, so I will not be ripped apart by you all. Oh well.

Yes.
I will try. This might not be the technically best picture of what have been made, but I still think it convert the theme nicely, its own little pointy and thick lined way. For some reason I can imagine this little - creature being about to take its first flight, and it just found out how long it will fall. A little dumbfound expression, and the wings loong heavy and stiff, which again matches the expression. It amuses me.
The (first) second place winner is:
Crimson.
It was a rather hard choice, because of the number of good entries for this theme, and I have had at least three other in mind for the second place, so... Two second places.
It is partly reminding me of a number of "Least I Could Do"-comics, that also shows the (fake) powers of Red Bull. And it is false advertising!!
Btw, Sasquatch needs fingers. He cannot point or poke good enough without them.
(Second)Second place goes to:
KingRyan.
Yeah, another of the plenty of entries I could choose from. I think I might be a biased on this, for several, rather stupid reasons, one of them being the connection to "Love gives you wings", which this is showing NOT happens. Another would be I can most of the text by heart, but that is besides the point.
Though simple, it shows the idea well, and the spotlight down is a classic effect on these kinds of scenes. It is texted, but I think it would be able to function just as well without it.
No third place because of the shared seconds, so we go straight to the Honorary mentions, of which I have a few.
Zophia:
A technically well drawn piece, good story, and one of Zophia's best traits: Making insects look like cute pets. If anyone has seen a Nymph, you would know it is not that pet-able, as that one looks.
Also, she rushed it a little to get it done, which actually cannot be seen (blurry trees are blurry), which all merges into a good, well thought through, and made, drawing.
Even though it is quite well done, I did not think it conveyed the theme well enough (no offense, I hope), or maybe because I do not really like insects. Your choice.
Mitnev:
Another well done piece of art, though, sadly, the wobbly mouse lines drags it down a little. For some reason I cannot quite concentrate on the wings, becase the eyes are drawing more attention, because of the thick eyelashes. Her head is a little flat on top, and some of the skincolour does not reach the outline. There is a couple of other mistakes, but nothing to talk about.
This, along with Zophia's was amoung the drawings I considered for the top three, but it never got to catch my interest like the other did. A good drawing, still.
And Pixie for the idea.
Not very pretty a bird it was... But yeah, I was actually thinking someone would have entered a penguin or kiwi, but a dodo bird is the closest to that, so it will get the mentioning. ... Dodos was such fail birds...
And on with the list!
Cholokid.
It is good to see you are enjoing the tablet, and you do use it well. This drawing was just a little too, well, sketchy. The try to get it detailed fast made the picture very chaotic to look at, all from the wings to the background. It is a little hard to make out the lines properly, because of the many other sketchy lines, and this sadly is its downfall. The idea itself would have been a grand picture, if you had taken/had the time to work on it for the time it needed, putting in colours, making the lines smoother and so on. And possibly put in less cherubic wings.
BigR:
A mastercheese. The kind of food you should not scare, otherwise it just fly away. I think it would have looked a little better with the wings on the sides of the cheese, instead of on the back of it, but otherwise a creative solution on a tricky theme.
PrivatePapi
I have very little to say about this. It sounds like an interesting story, and the image fits it well. There is some stuff you should research (not the hands, only Zophia can draw hands > <, but wing anatomy, and possibly how clothes fold/ways to make the joints look bend. This is, of course, only a suggestion. With colours, it would have look great.
RPoAG.
The opposite of KingRyan's entry, this being the guy who can fly wthout wings. He does seem a little whut about it, though.
The_AG_King:
A picture that is different from most of the other, by having a devil, and devil's wings, instead of the feathery wings. Not that clear, so for all times sake: Very nice way of portraiting the ripped off wings.
Goumas
Oh yeah, almost forgot about this on. It is rather well drawn as well, though I wonder why the wings on the left side is all black, when the other have their markings. But a good one, a good approach. Scanners kill.
Zega
Last but not least. Not quite sure to say about it. One of your better pictures, I'd say, though... Yeah.
/Fail judging that will make people pissed
Motivation and self esteem was brutally killed due to not being quite sure if the chosen winners should be the winners (so many really good drawings, so few places...)
All what is left is:
