This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!
Competition Rules 1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified. 2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged. 3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off. 4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
Straight to first place, but let me first mention that only around half of the entries seem to revolve around costumes, while the rest are just depictions of stuff you might dress up as.
First place: Bronze
Goblins totally need costumes too. Also, you're pretty good at drawing faces~
Second place: Zega
So all the little Cubone really just got stuck in their costumes... Poor things. Somewhat sloppy shading, I've seen you do a lot better. But fun.
Third place: kingryan
Sketchy, but drawn out enough to convey the idea... Which is kinda fun. Probably less fun if you don't know Strop and his character, but lulz when you do.
THE REST
the_manta
Usually, clowns do not scare me. This mask is almost an exception, dude, that thing is creepy! So fitting for Halloween, I guess~
hectichermit
One of those that aren't really portraying the costume but more the monster that the costume is supposed to be. Very nice colouring, though, and good-looking brush strokes in the background.
Nilo
As with hectic's, not so much showing the costume properties. But glad to see a non-digital entry~

I don't really know what to say. I think I missed the punchline... O.o
goumas13
Well yes, heh~ Also wondering what they saw to give them that expression... O.o
...
Yay. Late judging is late. Let's see if we can gt this going again...
*lies in the dark for several minutes, coughing painfully every now and then, trying to think of a theme*
Theme: SCIENCE! Deadline: November 24th.
Yes, science in all caps. Blame a conversation I had the other day and too many articles on cracked.
:< I finished it after I'd decided to sleep, forgot about announcement... Remembered a few minutes ago...
I fear the ususal responce to this kinda but: Do we have to represent the all caps in our entry or is just "science" ok?
Just science is okay, but extra thumbs of if you somehow manage to convey SCIENCE! without writing it on your entry. (Remember those discussions we've had about entries relying on text? Yeah, try doing the all caps exclamation mark without writing it on your pic.)
Thanks, if there is one thing I'm decent at it is drawing faces. AND that might be my last entry for a while, I have to spend my drawing time on my homework.
Awww man, me and friends totally did a video going.. "SCIENCE!.... " then we did something... which i cant reveal cause i will attempt to draw it... and fail...
