This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!
Competition Rules 1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified. 2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged. 3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off. 4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
Technically I think it would be better to use the original urls and not the ones you uploaded on your own account... But I don't know. Giving it a day for someone to go all D: over if they want to (mostly because it's past midnight now and I'm still a little sick).
Hi...just dropped by here to point out that when Hectichermit said on page 671 that the flat shaded monkeyhead is the original that blender gives...so that is not true...it gives the smooth one also and the editing for the first monkey he had wasn't more than a color change and widening of the mouth...and that takes like 2 or 3 clicks...the next one had colored eyes that would require some more clicks....the fluid and the glass would are thought fairly complex...
So I'm not sure if this was already pointed out...because I'm too lazy to read all the posts...but if you would compare that monkeyhead to a picture...so the modifications would be like blur and color balance...so not much ...
maybe joining next round (last was magic...or was it pockets...can't remember):P if uni gives the time...
yea a few click changed the appearance but the truth is one is a set of points stored in blender and the other is pixels, anyways if you are serios about all this read the license of blender. The materials made by a person, pictures, movies, even the .blend files them selves are owned by the person that made them. So in all regards to yea it looks like this and its soo easy to do I don't really care btw its original theres no other image that is like that and it was also stated that the judge Zophia doesn't mind the use of the monkey head, i don't know her reason but there isn't much blender rendered images on this thread and she probably doesn't want to discourage people from posting their images, just an opinion and I post to keep this thread going and dont really care if I win or lose. 2 or 3 clicks hehe I used the keyboard too how about giving us a tutorial to see the functions explained that I used...If i sound like im rantin im sorry but Im tired of the arguing about something thats been resolved read the posts next time, I was lazy too we all get that....Zophia hope you get better soon
