Hello and welcome!

This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!

Competition Rules
1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified.
2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged.
3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off.
4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week.
5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.

Okay, so there's a bit of a story behind this one.

During the summer, me and my friends were really bored. So we decided to take some mentos and put them in diet coke so they would fizz up and explode in the street. When we ran out of mentos, my friend got his golf club and we started hitting water bottles on his lawn. The water exploded and water splashed all over us.... and his neighbor's house. It was soaked. And then his neighbor came out and yelled at us for a while....

So I was inspired to do this New Year's resolution :

why not putting the mento IN the bottle and THEN hitting it against the naeighbor's house?

Well we weren't trying to have it hit the neighbors' house... we just felt like blowing things up and it accidentally happened. :P

Yo, Strop, I'm gonna give Cenere the merit for the Nostalgia round, since you've had your comments blocked. I'll let you figure out how to do the 'split merit' this round...

New Year's resolutions... I only have one... But I guess just painting ones own resolutions won't make much of an entry, and a more general take would be more efficient in ways of conveying the theme...
I could be wrong.

Here is an idea on how to settle the double win between me and Crimsonblade. Why don't we have a draw off? Although he has been quite inactive lately, we could still have a side topic to draw for. That way whoever does better with that can be the "official" winner.

Oh you don't have to draw your resolution per se...there are multiple ways of going around this. Once again feel free to be creative! And again I'm looking for entries that are self-explanatory, I should have said this earlier.

Yeah, you can do it by hand. I plan on doing it by hand, after being labelled digitally challenged. :P And no more math jokes from me. The confusion caused by that is even more painful than confusion caused by abstraction.

It would greatly help if you could list me some uses of base 8...oh wait. The byte.

Alright well I have been playing some of my new xbox 360 games for the last couple of days and then I come back here to find out I won(kind of) but anyways I just thought up what it shall be about, and this one will be a personal image using Sasquatch to portray it.I would think quite a few people will understand it as long as I draw it just right. This shall be fun.Anyways for the next couple ofdays I shall try to be more active.
