This is a spin-off of the original GFX Art Battle, but with some updated rules and changes. Please make sure to read the rules before entering, since they have been modified. Good luck, we look forward to seeing some creative artistic entries!
Competition Rules 1. Must be hand drawn, either on paper or in a program. It can then be manipulated in an graphics program. But unoriginal artwork cannot be used as the main focus. Copyrighted images cannot be used. All pieces containing copyrighted images will be disqualified. 2. Submissions must follow the current theme that has been chosen by a moderator for that week. If you submit more than one piece, please clarify which one you would like to be judged. 3. If your image is larger than 600 pixels wide, please provide a link to the image instead of posting it in the forum. Otherwise, the image will be cut off. 4. Artists cannot win in subsequent weeks. You can still submit, but if you won the week before, you cannot get first place again the next week. 5. After the deadline, a moderator will pick the winner, and they will be awarded a 25 AP award.
OK,my submission is finally done.It took awhile, but I think it may be one of my best ones yet.Anyways here it is:
Not only does the barber have to deal with getting attacked by an angry sasquatch, and having a bell pepper for a head, but now he is in an inspirational as well.
You just now figured out I was using GIMP?Also I am not using the airbruch tool, but instead the confetti brush on the paintbrush tool.I was kind of lazy with the barber though.
Don't put text in whos? Mine? I posted already haha, I will send you the link to the page if you want.
oh yeah I looked back and saw it.I guess I need to pay more attention in to who is submitting these images I guess.Sorry about that.It actually doesn't have text though.Imagine if you had to submit one with the same dishounarble mention(can't post text)during the one for the "your name" theme. What would you do then?
Somehow I find myself being the center of many a parody and teasing, which is fine by me. But this one is risky and not to mention risque, and yet it is still a direct interpretation of the theme. In this case I would say direct is a perfectly appropriate approach. Furthermore Zophia put an insane amount of effort into this piece right down to the spooky touches, which greatly aided her cause.
But the ultimate clincher for me would have been the fact (Is it wrong of me to say this?) she made Strop look kinda good in a pink negligee, and furthermore nails the "cute Strop" look
*purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs*
*ignores the tons of posts missed out on because of being gone for the weekend*
Did most of this on the long train ride home... Was crying most of the time.... Adding the wildlife soon...
Well instead of just making a comment about your picture Zophia.I thought instead that a reference is worth a thousand comments(that's how the saying goes right?)Anyways since I already get the feeling that it will cut off.I shall just create a link instead.
aww, why waz u cryings zophia? It's very pretty, how did youmake it (photshop, gimp, hand, what?)? P.S. If the topic FRUIT, ever comes up, I can pack 2 references into one.
