Good Idea

My reason:

You all think that someone could leave it idle right?
Well I agree,But there should be a sensor to sense your movements!!
for instance if you don't operate anything on your comp for one minute it should not give you points.

First off from now on,when ever you are to create threads pertaining to updates on the site.They belong in the Support & Suggestions section.Now that that has been covered,this idea has been covered many times before and many people have agreed that 5 ways of getting AP is fine,and that this is an unoriginal idea.Also people have been known in the past to find ways of in a way stealing AP.(I am referrin to the fake referrals,if you want anymore info on this then contact me on my profiel page)So you see there are many reasons why this is not an option.I will now attempt to contact a mod and have this thread locked.

good idea but, people could cheat, because it might be too hard or take too long for the mods/admins to do that with the sensors and stuff, so even if this came up it would take over a month to make it anyway msot likely

I'm sure people could get around a sensor that knows when you move your mouse or whatever.

And also, if it records what you're doing... ex what keys you press, what you click on... isn't that spyware?

That system can be abused very easily

anyways do you think we should gain points while we are actively playing games(i dont mean putting a game on and then leaving it there for hours to just get points)? I say yes, you should get 1 or 2 points for every 30 mins you play game

i dont see where awards for completing tasks in a game could hurt.

Another problem is that making a sensor would take months! like around 10 months, 11 tops.

Yeah... but it would hard to be implement the achievements for completing tasks in games into the AP system.

And there are always ways to get around a sensor like that.

gee, a lot of people got touchy and real sensitive to the topic. the funny things is most of them where guys that got real sensitive about, they started whining like lil girls. holy crap, relax...it was just a topic, i just wanted to see what people thought. i said hypothetically speaking, so if somebody doesnt know what this means they should look it up. also, this should not be in the support and suggestions forum because it's not a suggestion. it was question, for people to converse about. ligthen up ya uptight lil kids

There are way to many ways to get around it, for example people could open up multiple windows and just sit with their computer on for hours... But maybe you could get AP for beating a game. Or for achievements within the game. But I think the current AP system is just fine.

i think the ap system is completly fine i mean talking to your friends gives you ap how sweet is that. and if spammers want to spam let them spam but you should be banned from spamming cuz that means your cheating to get ap

I think it's a good idea, but it's just way too easy to cheat. It shouldn't be done.
