How dare someone challenge me! I shall summon my legions of undead and kill all naysayers! I condemn those ignorant fools to spend an eternity rotting as my slaves! I shall extinguish all of the vain fool pyromancers who dare to challenge my authority!

Yeah I mean Half the things necromancers make the dude cant burn! Then again if he was smart he could just burn the summoner, make a wall of fire and run!

well, fire would beat the skeletons and zombies real easy. I think the pyromancer could endlessly defeat the nercro's minions but would never get the opportunity to kill the nercro himself

necromancer could summon an army of the dead to overwhelm the pyromancer, but then the pyromancer could just create aball of fire around himself or coat himself in fire...Still i think zombies would bite him if they rise from the dead underneath the ball of fire
Necromancer = WIN

This is the idea:
The pyromancer gains energy from enviornment and inner self, but the necromancer does not use his own energy to raise dead, he uses the dead energy(orbs). So this maybe the scenario of the battle:
The pyromancer burns the endless roaming of undead. After 10 hours, the pyromancer will have no energy, but the necromancer's armies will be also weakened, making it rather a meele battle, in witch the pyromancer will surely win. Also, the pyromancer would have a 50% chance to kill the necro in the 10 hours.

The fact the the I gets my energy form the dead ensures my victory. I may summon massive armies of the undead almost instantly and then set them to work destroying the living, who are instantly transformed into more of my minions. I will have a never ending supply of power while the pyromancer has only himself to provide energy. Further, the pyromancer's fire will do little damage to bones and the act of destroying the undead will surely drain him to such an extent that my armies shall overwhelm him. Also, necromancers, like me, have the ability to directly attack our opponents minds. We can make bombard them with dark magic until they rot. Finally, if it came to a melee, necromancers wear cloaks imbued with the power of darkness and strong bone blades, the pyromancer tired from the magical combat and with only a staff to defend himself would surely die, especially if the necromancer was a lich.

You forgot one thing, that the pyromancer is not a fire mage, he is a summoner of the fire. He looses energy summoning the flames, but then the flames are individualized and act alone. He can also use lightning bolts and melt the earth under the necromancer, returning the undeads into the earth. Anyway, though the necromancer has a huge quantity of energy, the number of corpses found on a sqare mile is quite dissapointing for him.

Forgetting about that, Necromancer(the player) is write about something: a lich will totally own the pyromancer's but.
