Okay, since AG took off the search function from the forums, I don't know if anyone has done this. If they have, well, then the forum will be locked.
Anyway, here's how it works: I'll start off with a compound word, then someone takes ONE OF THE WORDS in the compound word and makes a new word. Examples help:
Moi: peanut butter p1: buttermilk p2: whole milk p3: hole in one
Here's the rules: 1. The word or phrase may be one, two, or three words. No more. 2. If a word sounds EXACTLY THE SAME as another word (such as hole = whole or bare = bear), then it may be used. No, fire and liar don't count. 3. You do not have to use the last word of the compound word, but any of them. Ex: Hole in one -> In the loop 4. You must use one of the words in the compound word (Buttermilk CANNOT become hole in one) 5. Please keep it appropriate 6. It must be a common phrase or word 7. No counting (1 o'clock -> 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, etc. 5 o'clock may be used, since it refers to when happy hour starts) 8. When you post a word, general rule of thumb is that if you can think of one word that can be made from the word you're about to post, it is acceptable. 9. Just for ease of use, bold the word you're posting. 10. There must be a 2 page difference between posts before a word/phrase may be repeated.
well, bigbrain, rhyming words don't count (ex: fire liar...), but i'll let it count this once since i didn't specify. And, "that means" isn't necessarily what i'm looking for; i'm looking for things like "in the loop", where it's a phrase and just not something commonly said. Again, i'll let it count this time.
