Hey there! You may have seen my drawings in the 'Mazzelh?' thread, the GFX Art Battle or other random places, but I figured I might as well make a thread for some of my other stuff. Because people here seem to like it. I do not generally take requests, but if you come up with an idea I like, I might use it. You could also just pay me to draw for you, but with the average age of AG users, I don't think many of you will. :P

Bonus glory for anyone who can name all ten Pokemons blended into that critter.
I've done maybe one chibi in my entire life and it never got scanned. It was quite cute but...for some reason I've never ever been compelled to do it.
I think just in the same way that I've never tried to actually emulate anime. I do take some stylistic references from it but I'm slowly moving away and slipping into a more toony look. But until then I can't imagine myself doing chibis.
The more fundamental reason for this is because I tend to shy away from overt expression of cultural niches. chibi is a niche (a dang cute one at that), as is manga. I'm really bad at being direct and exaggerated so I tend to mix it up, parody. If I want cute it has to be a lulz, creepy or strange or perverted kind of cute (see pikachu's surprise attack). If I want sad, I won't draw the hysteric blubbering unless it's for a really really good reason, etc. etc.
@Strop: I get your point. Personally I love adopting things from other people's styles, and I owe a great amount of my current skills to Pokemon - I think I'm somehow heading towards a blend of manga and realism, with toony stuff where it's needed. But I don't know! And you didn't see my question about what it is that you like so much about that particular piece?
that creature is freakishly awesome :P ... vivid coloring although i don't really like the blue very much...
And the claw/foot drawing has to be my favorite piece of art I've seen from you...the shading is amazing...except the thumb or whatever looks a little small...but awesome job anyways
@jpx111: Random blue is random. ^^ Just trying to get an acidic-in-your-eyes effect~ The thumb is viewed in a way that makes it look shorter than it is~ And thanks^^ Though it was only a quick sketch, I guess it turned out alright~
@Apocalypse: X) It's old, full of strange little mistakes in perspective and shading and stuff like that.
@Xzeno: Well......... If you want to commission me, then sure. But I'm not gonna do that without getting paid. :P *claims bonus points for knowing all those DnD monsters*
man, u pwn in hand draw and photoshop, i'm just good in hand drawn! *keels over to have a seizure then go crazy on a wall just to have my fists bleeding over the palm of my hand. Making myself permanantly insane with blood coursing through my veins for death to the innocent*
