Im hazarding a guess but could he/she be reffering to that hurricane that was heading to St Louis a while ago. I cant remember any of the particular details though.
If you are talking about hurricane Ike then i think it has already hit and downgraded to a storm no so there isn't a hurricane anymore though it did do a of of damage.
