Honestly, I think that they shouldn't of make the forth one and replace it with the fifth one so it would be COD 4, World at War because they went from like 1941 to 2008 and now they're going back again IT HAS TO STOP!!!
well the franchise is being shared by two different companies.Every game they make they will switch over and give the other franchise their turn in making the next game in the series.COD4 was made by I believe Activision, where as this next one will be made by Treyarch. The point is COD4 was made by a different company,so they couldn't do that. Now why is it like that?I have no clue,b/c I never really bothered researching it,but that is why they are doing this. Also Activision tends to make the better ones of the series for some reason, even though all of the games share the same engines as the last ones, unless they are upgrading it to a new game console,in which case they will have to upgrade the system,so Treyarch is pretty much mooching off of the work of Activision and putting in a generic WW2 theme to it instead of modern day.Next thing you know they will have it put in the near future or something.Anyways I think I just about covered everything I could on this topic.I am done now.
crimsonblade: activision is the owner of the brand, including the two companies who make the games. the company that made cod4 was infinity ward, who is claimed to be the most succesfull ones, dealing with more nationalfeeling and spirit than trearch, whos games are far from as good. trearch are making cod5
far from it mate. the cod games are ussually based on the same principle yes, but they are focused on a lone persons opinion of the war, and the areas that its happening in. allthough its been 3 WWII games, theres are still half a million of battles that are untouched by COD. they have only scratched the surfice. the beatifull thing is, that they take opinions of nearly all sites of the war. in cod2 you play as a russian private in stalinggrad, fighting off the nazi menace, an english sergeant, fighting in the sands of northern africa(and a tankcommander in a single act), and as an american corporal, pushing onto the beach of omaha on dday. thouse are only 3 battles... there are millions more
more squad commands would be good. Or, you could be part of a squad. Not the leader. that'd be cool. COD has gone too far but it can still repair this mess=Make more awsome games
