just a little think ive seen to much is negativity. almost 99.9 percent of threads on this forum are "end of the world" this or "nuclear weapons" that. its getting really annoying. sorry. -kibble
This forum is for debates on real things out there. Most debates never end good at all. There is a right and a wrong in some instances, so both sides can't be all happy.
And if you think about it, do you know any happy world events? There are a few, but the ones that make news, are disasters, and worldwide moral indifferences.
Humans are attracted to misery. It catches our attention... And many people sort of like to loom over the bad stuff, instead of focusing on the good... But yeah, it's a shame the world has come to that.

This is under the world events, politics, and religion category, which most people have strong opinions about. Many times these opinions conflict, making for tense discussions. That's just the way it works.
yeah i have been seeing a lot of this junk like can russia beat usa but some more interesting topics are like when will the hover car be invented and stuff like that
Problem is, there's often more discussion in the negative subjects...
Though I think the Homosexuality thread is a pretty good example of a non-negative yet successful topic. Sure, there's been arguments and slight flaming, but most of it pretty clean, and after the 'this is wrooong!' posts from the bad part of the Christians stopped, it actually got to a pretty good neutral state.
Sorry, that wasn't to advertise that thread, just... Explaining? I don't know. But the opinions are often stronger on negative subjects.
