Being a Christian myself, I've always believed absolute truth is undenialbe. But I recently had someone question my beliefs, so I did a little research. I just want to hear some other opinions before I draw any conclusions.
The last Ice Age about would've melted into thousands upon thousands of tons of water which would've emptyed into the ocean flooding the world and then evaporating and entering the water cycle. The water than would've re-frozen into the glacers and such we have today so your argument as an easy way of being proof for an evolutionists ideals.
i agree with msterxantos, if by absolute truth we are talking about universality, then we are talking about an impossibility. how can absolute truth be established when a solid meaning for 'truth' cant even be established?
absolute truth can't even exist in mathematics, a solid science, let alone variable religions, ethics, morals, and ideologies.
On the contrary, there is truth of the natural world. Unless you are to say that the physical laws are not correct and that the whole world is our imagination. Or anything crazy like that.
The topic is just like asking if God is real or not, but even then, do we call it an 'absolute truth'?
i find that with religion 90% of the time no one will agree.. even people of the same faction of religion will not agree on things. Yes I believe God is real.. Why? Because I have faith in Him, and my parents have faith.. I have been raised to have faith, and to think of Him. People that aren't raised like that will probably never agree to anything suggested by this...
There is absolute truth, then there is truth how we interpret it. In terms of religion, there either is a God (or gods), or there isn't. I do believe in God. That is truth to me. Others do not believe in God or any deity, thus that is the truth to them. But in the end, there is a truth. There either is a God(s) or there isn't.
