Title pretty much says it all. I really like this game, but time never moves forward unless I work on my boat. As a consequence I never have to buy food and I can't really advance the game in story mode. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried playing on Armor Games and some off sites but I always have the same outcome.
It's like that for me too. Supposedly time passes, but nothing happens and food supplies are never used, the day 25 clue is never given. You can't even quit a quest if you pass the deadline.
It's really frustrating, because apparently the game doesn't recognize date advancement at all. I've tried landing and repairing my ship over 25 times to try and activate the next part of story mode but it doesn't work. I really like this game and I wish I could actually play it the way it is meant to be played.
If anyone can offer any help I would greatly appreciate it.
since when does time have anything to do with story mode? all I know is that you have to find a certain, random item at the begining. i have yet to get one of these, so i don't know what happens afterwords.
It matters because story mode only advances after 25 days and (I think) 75 days. That is, certain elements do not appear until that amount of time passes. You can look under the other thread for a walkthrough that explains it. The game is set up to have a day pass after 10 - 15 seconds of sailing, but this is not happening for me or Gantic or other players.
WHY? I mean, come on Armor Games, throw me a bone or get left behind.
