I thing W.o.W makes you blind because computer-generated light is not natual for the eyes so playing this nerd game makes you blind after a while. It makes you mental because the Computer light also kills brain cells which are needed to gain knowledge and for brain funtion. I know this kid who played W.o.W every day for 3 years. Now, sad to say, he has become ill with Mental Redardation, and can't see. He is also fat. He never spent time with his parents and they ended up dying in a car accident. Guess what. He missed out on family time, the most important thing in life, just to do gay quests. Last but definatly not leased, anger managment classes are needed by W.o.W players because they seem to YELL THE **** AT THE GAME WHEN THEY LOSE!!! My friend who play W.o.W played me at Halo. He gets all pissed saying the games is ****ed up and lags but really he is just freaking out! These are few of the millions of reasons why W.o.W will mess up your life.
I used to 'hate' WoW then I played it, it is a fun game, and it does suck you in..because its FUN TO PLAY, that person just has problems, when NINE(9) MILLION yes NINE MILLION people play one game that is A LOT of people, a lot of DIFFERENT types of people if they played Guild Wars instead and did the same thing no one would care.
Id like to know your source for this information that "computer light kills brain cells and causes blindness" because unless you can present a reliable source, this claim is just bulls---. maybe if you don't have other lights on, and you press your face to the screen, your EYES may alone be damaged, but not to the point of total blindness, nor does lighting kill brain cells.
Also, your friend might have had mental problems which led him to become more easily addicted to the game, but you people just assume the game caused this without thinking of this. Ignoring parents can be linked to the same things...
Anger management... doubt that. i think we are focusing on a small group of gamers who take the game BEYOND extremes, who are like this. Sure everyone gets frustrated, but that does not mean they need anger management. Have you not ever just yelled to let go of stress? that did not mean you needed anger management, if anything its HEALTHY to relieve that stress and anger through yelling or whatever...
Similar to the way people stereotype all WoW players by extremists are the way people think that all Muslims are Terrorists... this is untrue, and the muslim extremist groups are looked down upon, similar to the KKK of christianity. That said, why don't we take a look and realize that the MAJORITY of people can play a game responsibly without losing control of their lives?
Final notes... i haven't ever played WoW, although i have played similar games, and never had problems. I have no health problems, have never been ill from a game, and my weight is not at all linked from my gaming, more from genetics (i was larger before the internet was even widely popular) So, before we go and blame all of our problems on games, and stereotype groups of gamers, how about we look at the facts?
WOW is a good game yeah no problem but the level of addiction is unhealthy. Maybe blindness is bit of an exxageration. Wasn't there a game where someone died because he played 3 days straight or something and they held an ingame funeral, poor guy.
Good topic... I play WoW offline and It's a demo... lol... well really can't any game make you blind then... WoW is kind of a dark game, lol (If you know what I mean lol).
Well If it's true, I'd be suprised... windshift is correct (Virtually) they cry and stuff 'Coz they loose gold or something and also is that true, Windshift? "Theres also a case of a south korean couple who 'forgot' to feed their baby playing Wow and the baby died..." Is that true? Silly Ching-Chongs, Jk... (No offense if you are Chinese etc). and If I were those Koreans or whatever I would of either Quit WoW or not be that stupid enough to "Forget".
And also, razzmonk I was addicted to RuneScape I played it as much time as I could, Every Second counted. So yeah getting addicted is very, very simple and tricks the mind.

I used to play Fiesta, (Anime version of WoW) needless to say, it got me angry at everything, and it crashed my computer because it's a bugged Korean game and has 127 viruses.
