gamez... most people who say so usually dislike it because they don't have the friends to make it worthwhile... no offense, but having one isn't really bad, its the people who sit on myspace 24/7 who take it too far...

Okay you're not "cool" for not having one and conversely you're not "cool" for having one. It's no different from all other social networking websites such as facebook or yearbook except in terms of popularity.
While it does indeed have people who take it to the extreme, a problem that occurs on all websites including this one, the majority of users are normal people who simply use it to keep in touch with people far away from themselves.
