I tried doing that with a symbols, but it didn't work. Is there another way to do this, or is it just not enabled? If not, it would be a great idea to have this enabled in beside the bold, italic, link, image, and quote codes. It is a much better way to point stuff out than Bold, and much easier to see than Italic.
Admins are the once with the green text, mods have blue. That is how you see the difference between regular users and the ones you can ask for help anytime.
first off the mods and admins have the words "moderator" and "Admin" next to their name, but the color system is an extra that they added. They typically have a reason for everything.First off you can not use html in a forum, since most of them either don't allow it,or are not compatible. The reason why is that if they did then people could post things like youtube videos on certain threads,or use certain codes which could be used to hack into the system.Truthfully I would get kind of irritated if I had to look at all of those lines, and slashes all day.I don't know the exact reason why they removed the compatibility of certain BB codes, but I am sure they had a good reason for doing so,and keep in mind that the mods don't know everything and you shouldn't treat them like they know exactly what shpigford or Dan were thinking when they implemented certain codes in the system.I am sure they could come up with a interesting reason or assumption, but don't expect them to know why underline code was removed.
Simple is good, yes... Then again, also slightly annoying for those who assume their bbcoding will work. They should at least update the page that says underline will work...
But I'm not really complaining. I think it's a minor detail.
