Puppy Palace
#1 Halloween Fright
A Special.

High above, in the clouds, laid a mystical, hidden kingdom ruled by puppies. In the middle of this fascinating city was a grand palace made from copper, silver and gold. This castle was painted an elegant white, with large thin paw print windows scattered across the walls. The triangular double roofs were painted red, with tons of puppy sentries patrolling the center. Way up on top, were two flags of the monarch flapping in the gusting wind. Grand Steel-enforced doors were the only way into the castle, and out, and patrolled day and night by soldiers. Such a place could only be a speck of thought in a humanâs mind, but actually existed.

Today is the day before Halloween, and everyone was making preparations for one of the most important festivals in doggy history. It was also to be one of the most dangerous nights in the year, so the palace had doubled the guards today and tomorrow. Tons of puppies strolled here and there, usually carrying cranberries or pumpkins of candy. Nobody here did trick-or-treating, so everyone had to have their own supply of candy to finish off during this holiday. It looked like a usual routine, but nobody would have thought that this would have been one of the worst Halloweens ever, or else the king would have tripled the guards. But oh well, nobody knewâ¦

@Zophia
Thanks, but I doubt the third paragraph is as good. Hope the symbols don't pop up again.

Since the palace was closed on the days around Halloween, the guards usually had nothing to do. They tried to pass the time by playing cards, practicing sword moves, chatting, anything as long as it wasn't against the rules. However, there wasnât a day that the guards werenât bored on a holiday. Today was no difference. On guard right now were Lieutenant Poppy, Sergeant Praw, and Private Plam. They had already worked together for a few months, so they knew how it worked. As usual, they were very wary, but less then usual. They had to be on guard today and tomorrow for the whole days, so they were well prepared for the endless boredom that was yet to come. The day slowly passed, with nothing happening as usual, and they packed in for the night. During the darkness, they always had one person sleeping and two keeping watch. They knew it was not needed, but to be paid well one had to be prepared.

Microsoft word. I know I should just write it on here, but I plan on saving it and printing it out. But don't worry, it's no big deal...

I'll recommend you write it in Notepad instead, Microsoft Word does funky stuff to a lot of symbols when they're converted to plain text...
Write it in Notepad, then copy/paste it into Word and set it up for printing. Copy/paste the Notepad writing unto here. This way you should avoid all the nasty unknown symbols.

Type it in your word processor. Copy it into Notepad. Copy it onto Armor Games.

Ah, I left out an important part.
You need to save the document in Notepad as a .txt file. Then reopen it, and replace the symbols that look odd. Now copy/paste that into a post here.

The problem with Word is, that it has it's own little symbols instead of 's and "s (and more), which it automatically writes. It's pure evil (Microsoft, what did you expect...).

Do I really must go into such the trouble? (Yeah, I'm lazy, I know) I think you can still read the story, no?
