Let's look at both candidates in the US Presidential Election. McCain looks to be a hardcore Republican, while Obama seems to be a hardcore Democrat. But how different are they?

Both oppose gay marriage, both want to expand the military, both think taxpayers should bail out failing big business, both are against legalization of marijuana, both support the Cuban Embargo, both have declared their intentions to invade Pakistan and Iran, both favor abstinence-only education, both support the death penalty, both voted to re-authorize the Patriot Act, both support the costly and useless Drug War, both support the terrorist government of Israel while screwing the Arabs.

McCain is just GWB part 2, so we're just going to "stay the course" if he's elected. This makes McCain a murderer as he supports the Iraq War, NAFTA, and the Drug War. HE IS A MURDERER!

Obama is moving away from his pro-choice stance as of late. Obama also held $180,000 in investments in Sudan through 2007 and profited off of Sudanâs militarism and genocide in Darfur. In my opinion, he is a murderer. Obama is even worse than McCain, as he's has profited off genocide! Put him in the International Courts! He specifically called the war in Darfur a Genocide in 2005, but held investments in Sudan until 2007! He supported the genocide, thus should be guilty of genocide! HE IS A MURDERER!

So what if either is elected? We're getting the same murderous person either way. The only real difference is age and skin color.

Granted, everyone agrees with me that McCain is not right to run this country.

I dare anyone to find evidence contrary to what I wrote above about Obama.

Most of the Obama lovers are going to rip me on this. But look at his voting record. He voted down the federal amendment to allow gay marriage. He has recently voted to make it a crime for women to get abortions outside their home state and voted to require a parental authorization on abortions. He tried to hide his investments in Sudan. But since no one cares about poor black people in Africa, he got away with it. He claims to be anti-war, but supported the recent bombings in Pakistan that killed hundreds of innocent people.

Anyone who supports Obama (or McCain) doesn't look into the real issues and does not dig deep enough. 99% of Americans are complete idiots when it comes to politics. They see a charismatic, young, black Democrat, thus they think he's the new wave of change. To me, he's a genocidal, corrupt politician who should be put in jail for life for knowingly supporting genocide.

If you don't see what he's done wrong, then you are an ignorant fool, just like the rest of America.

Well Obama supports abortion while McCain does not. And Obama wants to ditch Iraq in February, and McCain wants to stay until the job is done.

So i would say McCain does not equal Obama.

How do you explain this?

Welcome to American politics; pick your lesser of two evils. I assume politics are pretty much like that everywhere, in the case of Democratic nations anyway.

@slipsoccer

He held $180,000 in oil investments in Sudan! Sudan profits. Sudan goes and buys arms for the militias to kill in Darfur. This Obama has helped promote a genocide.

You did really nice research to find that stuff I bet. At any rate, too me, both candidates both have more cons then pros. They just want to run our lives and laugh at us. Well, they sound like that. But above all, I do believe Obama is more competent in leading America, because he seems to be able to act fast and act efficent.

Obama wants to ban hand guns. Otherwise, they are near the same.

So has Mccain and many other politicians in the US who have supported Sudan's aggression. Not only with money, but with political aid as well.

I must say, they are very different. In terms of their ideas, well yes, they are similar. Don't they have to be?

Do you want Obama's national policy to be that he gives candy to his enemies?

They really are different in terms of personality. McCain is a lousy politician. He can't say anything other then "Oh we Americans are the best" sort of stuff. His debates never have a political response. He'll just put the "America is the best peacekeeping, lovely and freedom land" into the topic of which he has to answer.

Obama actually says what he wants to do, not what what he should do!

So if you argue more on how both are evil and do not keep up with their promises with facts, then I'd have to say Obama is a great liar.

@Drace

I never said other politicians haven't supported Sudan. I was just pointing out Obama's affair with them and how he's never been criticized for it.

This just shows what kind of qualifications you need to run the world's current superpower. I think the political set-up in the US is really shameful, there's no preferential voting, so if you want a third party that's more progressive than the democrats, then you run a chance of letting the republicans in. I mean the democrats are not remotely left wing, they're just a bit less right-wing than the republicans. They originated out of the slave-owning capitalists in the south for christ's sake. But just the whole set-up is to yeah pretty much choose the lesser of two evils.

I'm not sure if that statement is true or not, but sarah palin had part of the Alaska permanent fund invested in sudan, and refused to withdraw the investment until not long ago. I think her decision may have actually been based on the fact that she was chosen as McCain's running mate.
