So just recently I was thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking and thinking, and realized that maybe the world is in danger.

The environment is getting destroyed by logging, litter, and pollution. Do YOU care about the environment? I think we should have a little place to discuss this...anybody with me?

Btw, if this does belong in the World Events Section, I'm sorry

@Carlie
Well, just an instinct, but I do agree I should take out the "maybe" part.

@Everybody who hates the environment
Don't even bother posting here, this is for environmental friendly people to discuss only.

Are you serious! Pets over kids! Thats selfish and irrational.
Why? I like my pets and I don't general like kids.

Thats great. What if you were that kid? That pet wouldn't know. Dogs and cats and whatever animals are stupid compared to a kid. A kid can grow up and do something worth while. A pet just eats and sleeps. Plus parents would morn and never know what to do if they lost their child. They would want their kid to grow up and get married and have children to. Maybe help the world. I'm not talking about some hug a tree turn off a light shit. I'm talking about a difference. Humans are more important than animals. Especially some alaskan duck that doesn't do anything but take up space, something like that.

the way i see this problem is that most people recognize global warming and all that but they think "i would like to do something but there is not much that i can do" the main problem here is that everyone can do something but passes it on to the next person. and anyway how could you save only a kid or a pet. doesn't nearly everyone have two working arms, and a pet is most likely to follow you so you get the baby with the pet.

Most people say that we should protect it, and that it's in danger. Then they don't do anything at all. It's sad... *turns off light*... we should do something... we can do small things like using those energy saving light bulbs, using green bags at the shops, using public transport but it still isn't enough. If everyone in the world did it it wouldn't be enough. We need to go further, have all those things with all our power coming from solar, wind, tidal and hydro-electric power. Then, we'll be able to continue planting trees and then we can make a difference. A Big one.

*goes outside to hug tree* I'm sorry tree *hugs*

no kidding, that is stupid. I always shut off my lights, and i always recycle if i can. WE need to stop this nonsense, we could be hurting ourselves 40 years from now. Global Warming is the biggest problem. If we continue, we might have to move to Mars some day. i know it sounds cray, but it could always happen.

Well then obviously I wouldn't be here to write this.

That pet wouldn't know. Dogs and cats and whatever animals are stupid compared to a kid.

A lot of kids are pretty stupid. So saving a smart animal versus say, a really stupid kid would be okay? Once again, I'm going to save something I love versus something I don't care about.

A kid can grow up and do something worth while.

Or grow up and become a hitler type. So maybe from not saving some kid I just saved the world a third world war.

They would want their kid to grow up and get married and have children to.

Well then, they shouldn't have left their kid alone in a house. Besides that's not my problem or responsibility. Pets and kids need their owners and parents respectively to watch over them. If my pets rely on me like a kid would, then logically I'd be a pretty crappy person if I let them die to save some kid who might one day grow and kill millions of people or wrestle bears for a living.

I'm not talking about some hug a tree turn off a light ****. I'm talking about a difference.

So making sure these kids don't grow up in a world without breathable air isn't making a difference? More and more of these kids are coming up with breathing problems because of pollution. Darn those tree huggers and their fight to stop childhood asthma.

Humans are more important than animals. Especially some alaskan duck that doesn't do anything but take up space, something like that.

A lot of people do nothing but take up space and make no difference. People actively trying to hurt the environment for example.

Sure, skater.

Actually anything that doesn't make the planet any worse is good.
