I prefer werewolves, because if they have enough willpower, they can controll it, whereas vampires (or vampyres)are simply dead bloodsucking fiends. Werewolves can still be good people.

By the way, why not put werewolf under the term "Lycanthropes" which includes wererats, wereboars, etc.?

Vampires are more advanced in technology...
heck, sure they have a puny size and are afraid of the light, but they suck blood, they have awesome stealth and speed, forget about turning into a bat, that'd just get you squashed.

Vampire. even though they cant go out during the day they are just as strong and probably stronger than werewolves.

I would say werewolfs because i think they are stronger with teeth and they can come out when ever.
