How about thread that shows all suggestions that AG has approved is very likely to implement? Things that don't require a lot of code and are actually good ideas. Ideas that have gone past the judgement and may be coding as we speak. I think this would not only tell people what to expect but would help conjure ideas, since people would have a better idea of whats acceptable.

I'd like to see that, very much. I think having a list with approved ideas or ideas that are currently being coded would be cool -- it wouldn't necessarily act as a deterrent for the "repeated ideas" problem, but it would certainly curb the problem quite a bit. There is a common suggestions list and that could be updated to include approved suggestions/ideas or even cross out ones that absoltuely won't happen.

Well, I think we should keep the 2 separate and I'm glad that people like it, of course no released dates, but maybe having a pending, or coding status next updates there would be nice.

Do you even look through the forums before posting?

Suggestions listed...

Meh.. maybe. I think it's a good idea to attach it to the other thread so that people will not only read the rules, but also see commonly suggested items and get to view approved ideas/ideas pending creation -- all in one, for conveniences sake.

i think i have seen this before.....carlie said somethin like all suggestions are considered. But they don't want it becuse people would spam asking a mod "when is this gonna happen" Or "why didnt my suggestion get picked" Things like that.

I say no.

...do you have any idea the amount of links to one of those topics? It's sheer. Then when a mod/admin picks on of those topics, others will complain, "why didn't my idea get picked".

Very valid, and very true. But the only way to shut a whiner up is to tell them the truth, isn't it? People need to understand their ideas are rejected because they, themselves, haven't really thought the idea through. As for the impatient folks... tell them to wait it out. It's simple dealing with these two groups of people... not that big of a problem (although it might be overwhelming for moderators)

The approved suggestions would certainly be for the most prominent ideas that are actually being coded; the ideas that are actually being turned into reality.

I would like to see something like this, it is a good idea. The problem is, since the developer is not very active, it is hard to tell what he is going to be able to get done. I get lists of suggestions sent over, but as to what he is actually going to implement, I don't even know sometimes. So it would have to be something that the actual developer would have to put together. And lets face it, he isn't on the site much.

So the basic necessities to make this work aren't really possible.

Plus, if we put something on the list, and then it does not get done for a while, people will just complain about how they were 'romised' a tool and it is not coming soon enough. I have learned that it is better not to give time lines, because then people just get picky about it.

@eddie, they need the developer to see what he is actually working on ATM. Otherwise they don't actually...

Pretty much, people are still complaining 'bout the armatars that supposedly should have come out.

I actually quite like this idea it would be good to have hope it gets implemented.
