My favourite is Rock I must say you can't beat good old rock.

I have to say rock as Crazynaitor said. Nothing beats it! And rap is just a nuisance and not even singing, More of talking with a tiny bit of a beat in the background.

Techno and Rock are my favorite.

I like a huge mix of music.
Mostly rock, some "hard" rock, some soft rock, some classic rock, some punk.

And i don't think that hard, medium, soft metal, or "growl" are genres. It all sounds too similar IMO.

I like, rock, rap, Top40, pop, hiphop, and SoME blues.

Kind of a wide variety though... :S

rock, rock, rock, it's more about musical skill than for an example pop and R n'B were people care so much about looks :/

Classical, rock, classical=-rock, metal rock, slightly death metal, and a little bit of country. All time favorite genre is Jazz.

I mainly listen to Metal(No specific kind) and Alternative Rock. But I listen to all rock types.

Rock. I've always liked rock. I don't see why people think Rock is dead. It's all because of this rap thing. Bah. The only good rap is Eminem. =P
