I like snakes because they keep the rodent population down. Without them, we would be over-ran by rats and mice. They are a crucial part of the ecosystem. Snakes are only dangerous when you get into their space.
Why hate snakes? They are one of gods magnificent creations. Just as all animals on earth, they have a reason to be here. I just tend to ignore them when I see them.
Snakes are sweet. I've held a some on a few occasions, it's a nifty experience, I'd recommend it. Of course you don't want to go picking up wild ones at random. Also I recommend knowing how to identify the species in your area, as they can be dangerous.
I want a pet snake, ball python, they are toothless, nonpoison, can't constrict very tightly, (To humans that is) and only poop like once a week! Feeding is kind of gross though.
I think they are fascinating creatures though I wouldn't want to be face to face with one. I learnt the other day that their are on 2 varieties of poisonous snake.
