So, who's got it and who's enjoying it? I've been playing it over COD4 since it was released, it's definitely got all the potential to be a superior game but there are some minor (and a couple major, in my book) kinks that need to be worked out between now and the game's release. I don't want my multiplayer experience ruined because some fresh-out-the-box geek with a sub-machinegun can pick me off through smokescreens, from behind walls and has an unfair advantage in power compared to my single-shot skull-snapper. But I'm sure anyone who's played it knows as much.
Cod5 takes back to ww2 or 1 (Soz cant remembers >.< i played 1(The actual one + expansion) 2 and 4(4=best grafics but sadly 3acts first Cod=heaps of mission[hard]) i forgot about 3 =/ but Aww i cant wait Cod5 = 1+2+3+4 together ^.^
Well, the beta is the demo and I'm not sure if it's been released everywhere or just in the US, but it was a strictly-downloadable thing you'd get a code for by pre-ordering the actual game. Or by being a member over at call of duty dot com.
When I first started playing, I thought I didn't like it and wanted to stick with my baby COD4 (I'm addicted to it, after all). But COD5 is growing on me. Hopefully the final product is tweaked to be as good as it can be, because it has the potential to be so much better than 4.
Unless you can't deal with the classic WWII weapons and need an AK47 or M16 to do your killing. Then you're just going to be on the outside looking in, especially when half of COD4's players migrate over to 5.
