I have only one thing to say:

Here in California, Prop. 4 would, if it passes, require parents to be notified before their underage daughter has an abortion. The largest single contribution to the "No on 4" group was from Planned Parenthood. The reason: They would get less "customers" if it passed...

I'm pro-choice. My guess is that someone will call it pro-abortion.

I'm pro-life, I think it's still considered taking away someones life if abortion happens. I mean, if you don't want a kid, use protection, the kid is your consequense, and if you don't want it, don't kill it, put it up for adoption. That's only my opinion. The only time I don't mind abortion, is if the pregnant woman was raped or something, which resulted in pregnancy, I don't know why...

THe reason, Agent-86, Planned Parenthood gave so much money to No on Prop 4 has nothing to do with having fewer "customers," given that a large portion of their PATIENTS (and I am one of their patients though I've never had an abortion) don't actually have to pay for services for financial reasons.

I can best illustrate the reason by citing the example of a good friend of mine from my time in the Navy. She was rufied (ie slipped a date rape drug in a beverage) at a party at the age of 16, raped, and got pregnant. She lived in a state that required parental notification. So when her father found out, he beat her within an inch of her life, causing a miscarriage, requiring surgery to repair the damage to her internal organs (as well as a skull fracture), and can now, never have children ever again because of permanent damage to her reproductive organs from the beating.

Prop 4 is a fine example of one of those laws that will only affect the very people who need it to not pass the most; many teens will inform their parents of their pregnancies and accept their help in best deciding what is right FOR THEM in the situation. The ones who won't tell their parents are, most likely, the ones who have a very valid reason not to do so.

Pro choice. It is hypocritical to live in a relatively liberal, Westernised society and have many different civil liberties and choice, except when it comes to sex and having children.

Pro-choice...AKA pro-ABORTION.

I am actually pro-life. I just wanted to get the point across.

No one likes an abortion, Ricador. But it's a civil liberty to be able to handle your own body.

It's one thing to abuse your own body, it's another thing to kill off a life who doesn't have a choice! Even a fetus is a living thing! If you don't want the child give it to someone who does! There's nothing wrong with giving up an unwanted child. It's better than killing it before it even has a voice!

I'm slightly on the pro-choice side. I'm completely against Partial-Birth abortion. And I think more responsibility needs to be taught. Abstinence education is the reason why so many teens are getting pregnant.

I always compare it to the Scott Peterson trial. Mr. Peterson got convicted of 2 first degree murder charges for killing his wife and unborn son.
Yet is completely legal to "terminate" a pregnancy because some bimbo was messing around without protection...

1.) Rape happens.

2.) Condoms break.

3.) No form of birth control is one hundred percent efficient. Abstinence is too much to ask of teenagers, so sex education needs to be implemented in schools to teach them to use protection properly.
