UK and the U.S. are in there to help out, and to get something done. Of course, many would say that were the problem, and were not getting anything done. However, we, as in the U.S., are attempting with huge amounts of effort and money to help out the country. I completely agree with the quote "We cannot just pull out because we owe it to their people".
we cant decide it we dont know any of the figures, but russia invaded afganistan a few years back so we should be alrigth at the moment but i seriously dont know
Well firstly you could look up some of the figures yourself, its not that hard. Secondly Russias invasion of Afghanistan was in a completely different context. They invaded to conquer and occupy, not to liberate and protect (cynicism aside). Also if you knew what happened in the previous war you are refferring to Russia was completely humiliated by the Muhajadeen, who ironically we trained and who we are now fighting against, so if you are basing our current safety in Afghanustan to the Russian Afghani war then we are not alright for the moment.
