Do you honestly think this hasn't been suggested yet? Also, if you want to provide a suggestion, it's better to state why you want it to be implemented.
What's the point of changing user names? To get a cooler name, at the same time keeping your points? Well... something tells me you should have thought about your name a lot harder during the application process. And like Xcalibur wrote, simply get a new account if you don't like your current screen name (before getting loads of points obviously)
AP isn't everything. And there is another problem with this. If a spammer was on the loose, and someone reported him/her to me with the name of "Bob," Bob could just change his name into something else, and we wouldn't be able to catch him.

I like my name, its just some people may need to change their name.

Exactly -- probably the biggest reason not to implement this idea. Of course, you can have tracking ID's but that sounds just a bit too complex.
This idea is not very useful. Let me explain: Usernames are like your address that don't reveal personnel info about yourself. If you see Ulimitedpower on your comments, you know that Ulmitedpower wrote the message. In other words, Usernames are like your name on the internet. Now, if someone changed their Username, that would be like changing your real name. People wouldn't know who you were. Also, if say a hacker stole a game, but there was a trail leading to his user account, then he could change his name and probably still get away with it. Anyway this quote pretty much answers this too:
Well if you change your user name you'd probably have to change your password. Also why don't you just make another profile?
Why change your username. You made it, and who cares what your username is. People recognize you by your name, so do others with your username. Making another profile is better too, and Armorgames won't have to add anything new. For the ignornt and stubborn:

Inthezone hit the nail with the hammer. It's your own fault if you don't like your username. I suggest making an all round name that doesn't specifically hate or like something. Like Ulimitedpower, InTheZone, FST6 and so on.
My tip is, if you don't like your username, then make a new profile and start from scratch.
It would be absolute chaos if we were allowed to change names. People would spam, quick change their names, and then spam some more, repeat. Plus if we could change our names, no one would know who was who.
I don't like this idea because as somepeople stated too complicated, people would/might use disturbing names and for the top 10 and stuff, the only way this idea could work if it showed on the homepage example RescuePal has changed his/her name to RescueGal that would be the only way it could work but still I don't like the idea!
I am against this idea magerly. If you could change them, users could spam other users then change there name again, and they wouldn't know who idd it. Also, it would be hard to keep track of who is who.
