Most people are traeting this election as if it has to do with race but I'm not rooting for Obama because of race I am because I believe he'll make a change.So.
1.Who are you voting for(if you cant who would you vote for) You Dont need to answer the first one if it make you uncomformatable
2.Why are you rooting or voting for that person
3.Do you want that person to win for racial reason or because you believe thaey'll make a change
4.Do you believe majority people are voting for racial reasons or because they think they'll make a change
*readies shotgun* Oh wait this is different from the others *puts shotgun away*
1. Obama
2. Because McCain has Palin as a running mate
3. Obama will definitely make a change but who's to say it's for the better, no one ever did say it was a good change XD I just don't want to vote for McCain because he will do the above 8 years, just slightly different.
4. They will vote for Obama because McCain has Palin as a running mate, and because Obama will make a change (see #3)
1.Charles Jay, Boston Tea Party. No joke, it's a real party.
2. He is the only candidate that supports economic and social freedom. McCain suppresses our social rights, while Obama wants to tax the crap out of us.
3. Nothing racial with CJ.
4. I think a majority of the people are voting for Obama because he's young (for a US presidential candidate) and charismatic. They have no idea what he stands for. He is a Republican in all but name.
Oh Ricador, I want to reply to the entirety of your post (particularly the bits about Palin, the evidence for fundamental economic failure sourced in the fundamental capitalist philosophy of American consumerism hence a need for drastic changes forward, as you put it)
...but I'm going to strive to stay neutral because while you and I probably disagree on most things political, I don't want to make it look like I'm putting a gag on you (seriously. It's all about the balance.) So I'm going to make a comment that's going to branch off into a separate thread.
At school all the kids have never been politically active before, and when i ask who they support, they say Obama. I ask them why and they say "because he's black and it would be cool to have a black president"
Two things really stand out to me here. You're most likely correct in suggesting these kids have no idea why they're supporting Obama, and this is important. The other is your assertion that these kids have never been politically active before, which I would agree is very likely.
You may have explained this before, I can't remember because I have been blissfully ignoring most of the political threads (horrors!) due to business...but could you expand on that one?

What does this suggest to you?
Well to me it suggests the The United States of America is becoming a self conceded country, with our heads in the clouds. Most of the people here have no idea why they want one thing or the other. All they want is for a black man to become the most powerful person because... hes black. Without looking into all of the flipflopping and lies Obama has had. We think that nothing can go wrong. That nothing will go wrong. We have been the most powerful for almost 75 years. The beliefs that we had when we became this powerful have slipped away, and gone to socialism. Just because no one knows what it really is.
(Obama) is a Republican in all but name
I completely disagree. Obama is Socialist in all but name.
Because he has Palin as his running mate, i agree with all his policies, and i hate Obama.
I dont want to say I have any problem with you hating Obama but why would you want to vote for McCain because he has Palin she s retarded that should be a reason not to vote for McCain

Well why do you want to vote for Obama? What changes will he make? How are they going to help up? What do you have to say about the hate church he was a part of for 20 years? Why did he suddenly have a problem with that church when he decided to run for president?
1.Obama, but i would have voted for Hillary if she had won the primaries. 2.Many reasons, hes too old, Palin is just plain evil, being relatively liberal i like Obamas tax policies to close gap between rich and poor. 3.I like the idea of there being a black world leader but that is not the reason i would vote for him. For me it is the lesser of two evils. Neither candidates are fantastic, but Obama is just slight;y better in my opinion. 4. The majority of people arent voting for racial reasons. Black Americans only make up around 10% of the population. His main support is most likely from young people who like his whole slogan of change.
1. I am not voting for anybody because I am 13 but I would vote for Obama.
2.Because Palin is Mccain's running mate and I think she is just a pretty face that he picked, she doesn't really know what she's doing. Also, Obama has good leadership qualities and he seems very calm and collected when speaking, while Mccain; not as much. And we need a leader right now.
3. I believe he will make a change.
4.Most are voting for racial reasons. I talked to some kids at my school about it, and all they said was, "It's down between an old guy and a black guy. I wouldn't vote at all." That made me sad for our country.
Cholokid I will respectfully answer your questions
I want to vote for Obama because he promises change and to start getting our troops out of Iraq.
One change he says he'll make is tax cut backs on middle class families and lower like mine.
He appearently must have went through something as a child and joined the hate church and he probaly left because he was sick of the church saying what God will do and when when he noticed that for now God isnt doing anything( im not saying he wont) and someone has to do something and since no one whould he decided he would do it himself
Obama supports the Cuban embargo, the electoral college, the war on Drugs, expanding faith-based programs, huge government bailouts, and voted to re-authorize the Patriot Act. He supports Israel in every way. He held $180,000 in a Sudanese stock, directly profiting off of war and genocide. He has not ruled out war against Pakistan and/or Iran. He supports Kosovo's independence, but not South Ossetia. He supports abstinence only education. He favors the death penalty.
He is against gay marriage, and the legalization of marijuana. He also thinks that throwing $18 billion at the education system will save it.
I'm not sure about you guys, but he sounds like a Republican to me.
If you think he's a republican, then what the heck is McCain and Whats-her-face? Despite how he believes running things, Obama is a democrat... If not, then he would have ran against McCain in the preliminaries and Hilary Clinton would have just won by default then.
