I wanted McCain to win,but I suppose Obama shouldn't make a bad president.
The only problem I had was the fact that about 95% of blacks voted for Obama....I just don't get that...I know that they didn't all vote for him because of what he stands for...Thats obvious...I just am upset that almost all the blacks voted for Obama...Probably because he was also black. But what is good,is the fact next timea black is up for election, that shouldn't happen, because it won't be the first black if office...
I think that even though dems have a majority in the White House and the Senate, there are some good things behind it. (Speaking for myself, being a conservative) At least since they are in both branches, they'll be held responsible for anything that goes wrong. This way if/when they mess it up, they'll have no leg to stand on and the GOP will be able to rebuild.
Im very happy Obama has won,he has been more confident than McCain from start to finish. Obama took the mic and handled the press EXTREMELY well,as for McCain, when i change it to CNN he is usually standing in the background pacing back and forth while Palin was talking on the mic.
Public Confidence probably isn't a good reason to vote for someone, but it's not like any of us can do anything about it now. Unless you're one of those crazy klansmen who already have a plot to assassinate him. If it would take him out of office without being racist or doing anything illegal (i.e. killing him) then I would be fine with it.
Even if it were to happen, and that's a big if, Biden would take his place. As Vice President to Obama, Biden would have to agree with, and therefore follow through with, Obama's policies should something happen. The only difference being that there would be a white person in the seat.
Now, I don't know that all of you know this, just throwing it out.
All the Presidents and VPs have a backup plan.
Because McCain lost, he was also running for Arizona senate, and he will have a seat in there, he won. Palin gets Alaska governor again as well.
Obama and Biden also were running for one state's senate/governor. They both won, but another has to get appointed because they ended up getting Prez & VP.

So its not about the nation anymore but just party vs party? :-$
It completely sucks that Obama won. He will raise taxes for successful businessmen like my father and our family will be taxed a good deal more. I don't see how this is even close to a reasonable plan because with these people being taxed more they will most likely fire a number of employees that work for them, depending on how much they are effected. What a way to bring about unemployment.
