Not necessarily a walkthrough, but some things for people who have not played the game.

There are 30 'levels' to the game.

Ironicaly there are 30 spaces for upgrades even though only 19 are available.
Of those 19: 13 are upgrades to your bow and arrow and 6 are for your army.

I personally went for all of the arrow upgrades first, then went for the military - its entirely up to you.

If you want to have some fun - use the combo of Fire and Bomb arrow on the enemy castle and destroy it.
Each Bomb hit also knocks off some of the castle that, with some creative aimimng, will also damage the troops going by :-)
<Once I obtained the Bomb arrow, I destroyed the enemy castle on every level.>
AND/OR - use the enemy castle to 'bank shot' you "wave" arrows. The wave arrows won't damage the castle but instead get reflected down onto enemy troops :-)
Especially those that like to hide in front of or directly behind the castle - like archers and priests.

ENEMIES: there are spoilers here, so if you want to be suprised; bypass this part.
The enemy has the same troops you do, only a 'tad' bit stronger.
The enemy also has access to DRAGONS.
Yep... dragons. 4 different kinds.

The first you meet is the Grey Dragon.
The weakest of the 4 can be handled by either the Flack or normal arrow.

Next is the Blue, This guy fires Ice arrows that are just like yours. And like yours, they do NO damage to castles or towers. The Flack and normal arrow will damage it, but this guy is a bit tougher than the Grey. A single FIRE arrow will take him down.

Next is the Red. This guy shoots FIRE arrows and, like yours, can indeed harm the castle and tower. The Flak arrow has little or NO effect. The normal arrow will harm it; but it too is tougher than the Grey. A single ICE arrow will take it down.

Next is the GREEN dragon. This guy is also tougher than the Grey and shoots green circles of poison that damage troops AND tower/castle. Flak and normal arrow will damage it but a single FIRE arrow can take it down.

All dragons will eventually 'hover' in front of your shots to protect the enemy troops down below. I've seen them take direct hits from wave arrows which they just shrug off and the wave will continue to the grudn from where it hit the dragon <much like with the castle>. And comically enough, even the Meteor and Comet have hit them which they also shrug off. You would think any of these would take them down - but no. Only the ones I mentioned will take them down in one shot. It seems all others will do some damage, but multiple shots are required to take them down.

BIG SPOILER:
The last level, 30, has a HUGE AXE-WIELDING TROLL.
Yep.. he's big... and slow... and has MASSIVE hit points.
Wave shots will do "minor" damage but there are two times when it is vulnerable to being shot. Any other time - they bounce right off.
The first is when it raises it's arms to strike a blow. Aim for the neck or arm region and you do some 'decent' damage. I recommend the FIRE arrow. Save yu bomb arrow for the second area.
Second area: After striking a blow, which does HUGE amounts of damage to towers/castle, it takes the helmet off and wipes its brow. AS SOON AS IT DOES THIS - fire WHATEVER YOU CAN at it. The Bomb arrow is really good since it will knock the thing off its feet onto the ground. Once on the ground hit it with whatever you can.
Don't forget about the enemy troops though - or the Dragons.. or the red and Bluw Warrior. Yes... you get ALL of that and the Troll.

I have yet to kill the thing.
I won by shear luck with some horse riders that were able to go in, snatch the flag and return.

Final score for me: 26,264.

STRATEGY:
Kill the troops or steal the flag.
IF the terrain is flat, or with very few hills, I will attempt to flag capture. Otherwise it is a waste of troops, but that is just my opinion.

There WILL be times when it is necessary to leave your home castle. Type D for this and A <move left> or D <move right>.
There will be some weird curve hill that none of your shots will reach and yu now some archer/priest/catapult will hide behind it. So it requires you to go out and hunt them like the pigs they are.

Some levels will also have intermittent towers. You can occupy those - and I heartily recommend doing so (QUICKLY).
The closer you are - the more accurate your shots and you're protected.

Have fun woirking on that carpal tunnel while playing this highly addictive game :-)

Hope this helps.

Comments/suggesdtions welcomed.

There really isn't a "walkthrough" for bowmaster. It is a shooting game from all the same situation

I think it's easier to get the army first then bomb and fire arrows, then you should get w/e you want

This isn't entirely true, there are as many levels as they please they just use the same landscape over again and add a few enemy units. And the troll he talks about are the ice and fire giants, which i think come at level 25. They do have axes but use meteor or comet on em and they're dun.

Also, play with the aim settings, get the noob ones if you just wanna goof around or upgrade really fast.
If no units are out atttack the tower, it gives 10 gold for every hit. It's well worth just clicking over and over again.

lols I beat the game on lostvectors...its where it was made first...oh yeah it appears before level 30 if you reach it on another character, but it's weaker I think (it wont kill you in one hit)...and also on higher levels even the meteor and comet arrows together cant kill the elemental guys, just run up to them and shoot a fire or ice wave straight down but dont hit yourself and they die easily, or just shoot them in the head with the opposite element arrow, and also when you CAN hit the boss, you do massive damage to it, much more than if you shoot a regular enemy, and there's also a bug that makes 2 bosses appear, so they protect each other and make it impossible

That was really good. You went into alot of detail, I would never write a walkthrough that long and detailed.

has anyone mentioned that you only get gold with normal arrows, and that if you quit the level you still get that gold???

Also, I've been playing BP for a while now, but is it on AG???

Personal opinion on important upgrades:
- CATAPULTS! Yes, I said catapults. 10 of those things at max skills will make destruction rain from the skies. Four hits can take down a castle O_o Yet to find an enemy that's not a boss that can take a direct hit...
- Archers. Less powerful, still nice. You can let them handle enemies while you fire at the castle for gold.
- Heal Wave. Essential if you use troops or fire at point blank. It's first priority for me.

Anything else is pretty much less useful.

Also, the boss shows up every 10 levels, there's just more of them...and I wonder what happens if you attack from behind? I've noticed that very few enemies will turn around and chase you, so you can snipe their heads from behind...I wonder if the boss's rear is protected?

Heh, i remember playing it. a long time ago...
I can't remember if i beat level 30 on my first try or not, though.

my own tip: shoot the enemy castle with the main arrow to level up the arrow, starting from level 1.

well, I have used Piercing Arrow to the maximal extent, because it's either bugged or is intended to do double damage if headshots and transfer that double dmaage to the next creature in row. On a good landscape I used to wreck 10 enemies in tight formation with a single piercer, which sometimes delivered more than 1k to the last in row. And it has relatively low cooldown.

About troops - I prefer archers plus monks, one big disadvantage that I have to ruin the enemy castle fast enough because enemy archers use to occupy it and pepper my kids from within. Catapults are really nice, they never interfere with your own fire, and rain a very high damage over anyone who still has his head on after my shots, but they are too overpowered I believe, it isn't just fun.

The end boss is most vulnerable to NORMAL arrows, in both his vulnerable places. They're the fastest you possess, and once maxed (I usually have it maxed by level 18 or so), they hit for ~900 damage per shot, I remember to put 5 of em consequentionally in his head and 3 in his belly. This is per axe swing of his.

I love the game. Right around lv 10 or so I start getting military units. I always start with the catapults since who doesnt like raining boulders onto your opponents. By the final boss my catapults are maxed and I just sit back and let those rocks beat the snot out of that giant. I always won a game doing that. Not the best strategy but hey its cool enough for me lol.

bowmaster prelude is almost my favorite game on AG
but, after you finished it once, there is no fun left

Neiji, if you were playing with "auto aim" try changing aiming method to &quotull string", it's way harder this way.
