The plural form of walrus: walruses or walri?
I looked it up, several sites said walruses, and several sites said walri, but which one is the true plural form of walrus?

Whoever said walri has no idea when to use that plural form!

It is only ever used for nouns that are or were derived from Latin nouns of the 2nd declension, masculine. Those would invariably end in -us but not every word that ends in -us is Latin. Walrus is not a Latin word. Therefore the plural is "walruses".

Examples of Latin nouns: Pegasus/pegasi, Hippocamus/hippocampi... Yeah, both mythical creatures...

Well it should be walri, and I found a petition online to change it: just click on "walri".

Why should it be Walri? It is not a latin word, is it?

Oh, thanks Hellian forposting the same link I did... Sorry it did not end the thread.
