Heres a article about cloned mice and what not.

Cloning does not hurt the animals at all, so that doesn't violate the animal abuseing rights but, cloning should not be used on humans...

Cloning is evil!!! We should never belive in its torment to the animals.

-John F. Kennedy

As long as clones had all the rights other humans had I'd be 100% behind it.

The word cloning reminds me of a lot of movies and songs...
Animal cloning would be ok, to get more meat/ham/stuff to sell, though cloning would be expensive and it would be an economically lose.
Human cloning is just stupid. Why clone someone, when you can easily reproduct...

The reason for cloning is mainly to save lives. They're trying to make advances in it so people can clone themselves to use the clones' organs, just in case the "original" has a diseased pancreas or something.

well if humans make inexpensive cloning machines this is what will happen:
1. everyone will buy one
2.when some one close to them like a friend or family dies, they will clone there dead body and make them come back to life.
3. everyone will do that
4. the world will be over populated.

although i doubt step 1

I agree with it but there has to be a limit.
we don't want to get overpopulated plus human rights comes into it aswell.

To an extent. Genmanipulation is part cloning too, and could probably save lives, so could cloning.

Also, It could save extinct animals, like done to some ox, and could save our dignity as a species.

but if you clone Albert Einstien to have his old intelligence at a young age then we could have major breakthroughs in science

Einstein was rather crazy. Too much have changed since then, and though his intelligence is high, I am not sure if it would make a breakthrough, other than him being cloned.

I think people are confusing cloning and actually bringing someone back from the dead. If I were to be cloned it would just mean that my clone had the same genetic code. If I were to die and come back to life I would be the same person.

But if intelligence lie in the genetic code?

Scroll down to Twin results today and yesterday. The last paragraph is this:
Modern studies are showing that different genes act at different ages and that the environmental effects that can influence IQ in childhood dissipate with age so that oneâs intelligence in later life is largely determined by oneâs genes.
So if you wanted Einstein`s intelligence you would have to wait awhile before his genes kicked in and even then his environment would still affect his intelligence.
The newsletter is from 1995 though, so I might be wrong.

Well, I would not think that intelliegnce had much to do with genes myself, but sounds interesting.

Also, we would have to make him crazy~~
The line between being a genious and being a madman is very thin.
