u can't really compare them. fenix looks more badass but is a regular soldier. the master chief is a genetic evolved and highly trained super soldier with his mjolnir suit.
There was already a(maybe more) thread about this, and the verdict was that it would depend on weapons and setting. Because weapons and setting are too variable, you really can't say eathier one. In a strait fistticuff fight, though, I would have to say Chief. I don't know why, but Chief's fist is a one-hit-kill on H3 if you have a bomb/skull, and a two-hit-kill if you anything else.
Hehe, Yes he has a name. There's 5 books that follow the story of the first game. Well, actually the first book is more like a prologue. It goes into the background the Spartan and Spartan II program from when their picking kids to go to it until the mission where most of John's squad dies. Anyways, It goes into his background and helps you really connect with his character in ways the game can't. There's also a 5th book that takes place I think after the first game. In that one he helps put together a Spartan III program, which means there's more Spartans now... and possibly another game based on them after Halo 3 ODST... i hope so.
