ok , like wtf is up with people making all these imaginary figures which serve no purpose... i understand if it is to interest little kids in the holidays but why do people go soooo over board? i mean there are some people ( above the age of 15) who still thinks half these imaginary beings are real... i find it quite stupid , not that im against little kids having fun and all but cant there be someone to actually look up to? i mean i get fathers day , mothers day and all that , thats cool because the figures you look up to on those days are real people... so why do we keep these ridiculous traditions going?
Well if they go over board it's not your buisness. Let people live there lives how they want. And yes it's ok for these to be imaginary for the lil kiddies.
I think it is more of a tradition then anything. If you think about it, it's also a way to seem like your not spoiling your kids in their eyes. It also gives them a goal. Do not piss off santa otherwise we get coal. IT also just makes the holidays more enjoyable.
Well, actually santa clause started because of a marketing thing that coke did in like the 1930's or something, i watched it on the history channel.
That's only the beginning of the modern interpretation of him. There's a lot more story behind Santa Claus/Saint Nicholaus/Father Christmas and whatever else you may wish to call him. I should provide info here... Hmm... Maybe if you really wanna know I'll try to find it...
i think its good to have them because it gives childeren a better upbringing with somthing like that to look into because it gives them character if you told a child from day 1 that none of them exsist they wouldnt be as exciting
