For straight Progressive Metal, thats iffy. I would say that Ayreon is better, but since most people don't know ayreon i'm probably alone in that. As for Progressive as a whole, heck no! Progressive Death Metal-Opeth Progressive Metalcore- Between The Buried and Me There's also Porcupine Tree, and a whole bunch of other bands... Of course I'm slightly biased against DT for Labrie...his voice rubs me the wrong way a lot. I love LTE cuz' JP's my favorite guitarist and MP's in my top 5...but LaBrie seriously hurts them.
Seize_the_element, Get train of thought, its their best album IMO. Most people who are fans of their new stuff say Train of Thought. Most fans of their old stuff like Images and Words, sooo try it all out...
