With some things, not really...But I must have the brand name smokes of my choice or I will not smoke. The cheap ones I swear will kill you after you finish a whole pack.
Personally, I buy brand name products when I know that they are quality, and will be better than a competing brand. For example, I just bought thermals from Patagonia. They were more expensive that say Wal-Mart, but they will last forever. So really, the initial price is less than having to replace the product over and over again with the cheap one.
This can be brought up with the topic of prescriptions as well. I used to work at a pharmacy, and patients would be able to get generic descriptions for loads less than brand. Of course, they are specifically made the same, so that is different than buying clothes or something.
Yes they do because what if you buy a brand name product but they are cheep so the iteam you got was really bad. I personily trust brands that are known to be good and not the item not disinagrating in a matter of seconds.
There's only few areas of my shopping were I really care about brands... And that's because I want quality, something that lasts, so I go for the better equipment... In clothes and food and furniture, I couldn't care less what brand my stuff is. I think the fashion aspect of brand names is rather silly...
To an extent... if you have a good brand that makes good items in that area then trust the name... Some things its not important though... eh...
That reminds me, look at the brand name! very important! I bought some batteries and they were the same colour and logo as duracell batteries. They were identical except for the name (which I forgot) and they only lasted 20 minutes...
I buy brand name clothes. But skate brands, such as Krew, Empyre or Vans).I do because they are almost allways worth the price. Plus, finding [quality] skinny knockoff clothes is pretty hard.
