The recent wars will never be on the scale that wwii was. Not to mention that wwii is this franchises bread and butter. On a different note, this game is hands down the best wwii shooter i have ever played. A trifecta of goodness: graphics, gameplay, and multiplayer.
The developers of Treyarch already said that they are not going to make a Modern Warfare game so you will have to leave the Modern Warfare to Infantry Ward. Anyways, I like WWII more then Modern Warfare just because its already happened and you can expect more from it.
This is kind of funny. Infinity Ward had cod 2, Treyarch had cod 3, Infinity Ward on cod 4: modern combat, Treyarch on cod:waw, and Infinity Ward will be doing cod 6(due out fall 2009). Its as if the two are taking turns running the train on the cod franchise.
I mean I like the modern war. Like this one was cool, and the Marines in combat were just bad***. Anyways, I'm not really complaining because all the COD games are good I just really liked the modern style.
