Personally i belive that Che Geuvara is more iconic than a hero. That famous picture immortalised him and camme tosymbolise equality and fairness, howvere he was quite a ruthlesds individual and his revolutionary activities caused a fair amount of deaths. However for peoplke who belive his cause and ultimate aim justified his harsh methods then yes he is a hero, however if like me you belive he is just another revolutionary figure who hapened to get snapped at the right moment then he is not.
If you're wearing that shirt, and your not against Capitalism, than why the hell are you wearing it?
From a comrade:
Once, several years ago (before the Che shirt craze came about) I saw a girl on the subway wearing a Che shirt. I told her, "I like your shirt." Her reply? "Yeah, I love Bob Marley!"
Yes, He is a Hero. Too bad though some people don't know what He stand for, be a Rebel Icon or just some cool T-Shirt to be display. Just as I saw in him the ideals of the present revolutionaries - Sub-Comandante Marcos's Zapatista
he was sort of a gurellia who tried to kill the leader of cuba but was unseccusful, but i think him as a hero. something that bugs me is that people wear that shirt and they dont even know who he is.
Well, he originally was just another crazy guy with a crazy plan to overthrow his government. Then he became much more than that, and that's what I don't like. People have immortalized him and most don't even know why.
half of americs probably only know his name, and that's it. Most people don't even know he was a communist! if they did, that t-shirt would be one of the most un-popular items in the market.
Agent: I agree with your last sentence, but not your first. Che was not crazy at all; I'd have to say he was quite rational for turning to Communism when he saw the suffering around him.
H was a magnificent person but is too well known in popular culture just for "that" picture. Its a sad thing about mostly western culture that so many could know someone so well and yet not know why he is famous. All it takes is 5 minutes to look him up to realise he was so much more than a cool picture on a shirt or wall.
