Why can't they just call it Halo 4!Me i think its because they will have the same storyline but different and cooler campaign

Um, they called it Halo 3 Recon because maybe they wanted to? Also, it takes place between Halo 2 and 3 so it can't be called Halo 4. If they were to call it something like that, then it would be called Halo 2 1/2.
Maybe that wanted to step outside their personal bubble and go for a more eye catching name..
They Wanted something more fresh then just Halo 1-4
