Again this has nothing to do with how rich or poor a country is, you take the amount of many in a country then divide it by the number of citizens to get how rich or poor a country is.

Incorrect. Our Constitution was written after a failed Articles of Confederation gave way to a weak infrastructure and economy. The laws written were supposed to give rights that the King of England had oppressed in the colonies. The reason why the right to bear Arms is so high in the Constitution is because at one point, the colonists could not keep their own weapons. The founding fathers, in case of another revolution, voted to give this right to the people.

In other words, the Constitution was made with the wrongs of the former English ruler in mind.

"I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature."-Thomas Jefferson

"Lighthouses are more helpful than churches."-Benjamin Franklin

"In no instance have . . . the churches been guardians of the liberties of the people."-James Madison

"Sir, Washington was a Deist."-In response to a question about George Washington's religion after his death, made by a close friend.

My thoughts are that you have not been properly taught. The primary source of inspiration for the Declaration of Independence was a man named John Locke. The document mentions a generic "creator" but does not distinguish it as biblical or christian in nature.

The U.S. Constitution was drafted 11 years after the Declaration of Independence, and does not mention the bible, or god(s) at all. Its purpose was to form a government, and body of laws, between men, not god(s).

The reason that the United States was created as a secular nation so that each of its citizens was welcome to worship (or not) according to their own consciences, without government interference.

Out of the fifty-five men who signed the constitution, FIFTY-TWO were active members of the church!
